Great video farmer Gracy! 🤗 I'm kinda confused/curious as to why you need such a huge pot when the bulbs are planted so shallow. I bought a kit & it came with a 6 inch pot. the amount of soil & compost you used could plant multiple pots of bulbs.

I could be due to the size of the flower when grown, if the pot is to small they could become top heavy and tip-over in the wind.

Hi! I got three out of four to germinate. I have 1/2 inch white sprout. I am ready to put into soil. Do I plant with the white sprout up or pointing down in the soil (it's sort of star shaped and white, can't distinguish if it's a root or leaf)??? Thx!

World Citizen Surf -- Stefan same case as mine. I ended up digging twice😁. My first time to plant this one. I realized I should have planted the bulb a bit deeper

What was the fertilizer she used? Does she not comment on any of our questions?

Do these bulbs reflower every year? If so can they be left inside the pot over winter or do they need to be dug up after summer and dried? I really enjoy your videos btw, very informative. Thanks

I cut mine right down - only after the stems and leaves have gone brown ...and they spring back every year with more and more flowers...

Kate Rich do you cut the stem to about 1 inch above the soil line? I’m going to attempt to keep mine in a container outside this year as well instead of planting in the ground.

@@samanthabeard2907 when I got my first Lilly bulbs some years back ...I read that once the flowers have died ....then cut the flowers off and leave the stems to die back...this is a nightmare because I have pots with tatty old brown stems that looks awful ... But, it says you do this because there are nutrients in the stems which seep back into the bulbs for next year.. I can honestly say my Lilly’s are huge... even the Asiatic short stemmed ones grow to 4+ feet and one stem can have 8 flowers ...so I stick with what I know...FYI once they have gone brown just try giving a gentle tug and you’ll find the stem will just come away...And you look like you have an empty pot.. But they will shot up even better next year..I leave them in the pots as I have a roof terrace and no garden shed to store them in..if the weather man says snow. Or whatever, I put some fleece over the pot or tuck them under the table....fun fact.. look for the Double Lilly’s they are even better they have big double petal flowers...fabu in a vase indoors......

If planted in the ground do they need to be dug up after the season has passed or simply cut the leaves down.

I leave mine in the ground, mulched with banana leaves where they’ve survived for 6 years. In a poor summer they can struggle to flower so maybe best off lifted before winter and started off again in the greenhouse.

Ya need to speak up to be heard over the highway noise. Instructions on my callas says 4" deep and you are not even covering them! Hmmmm.

They do say dont plant in large pots in the beginning. Confued now

I looked up the countries they post to and it seems to be only EU and UK and even some EU countries aren't being posted to...Look up another site make from HOlland?

Bought these. Said directions to plant werr inside, NOT! Read complete article online that nvr mentioned only reason i searched for "how to plant calla lillies". Clicked on this video & the very firat thung she said was "plant this side up"😤😤😤🎉👍🏾👍🏾

They can be grown from seed but they will take years to bloom from seed. Hope that helps.

Never buy seeds online unless you do so from a reputable seller and you know what the seeds look like. You have to be really careful about sellers from overseas who sell on eBay or Amazon. As mentioned you can grow them from seeds but you're really better off growing from bulbs.

Biting hour lips is a very bad habit and if you cannot stomach working without gloves, well one suggestion don’t look to these very good instructions. By the way I always start gardening quit impulsive without gloves and halfway when I want some coffee I put on my gloves. I am 76 and love my bad habits.

Years ago no one used a gloves, my mother never does, nothing happened. If no cut or any opened skin and you wash hands well is ok . Kids dig and play with soil.....

30% of my Farmer Gracy bulbs did not germinate the first year, 70% for this year, and this does not come from my soil because I have bulbs that have been in the ground for 20 years and are still flowering... I do not recommend farmer gracey....it's disposable
