Hey, guys. I use a slightly different way to play the video. I upload a png sequence with an premultiplied alpha channel after keying and then change the display from opaque to translucent in the material parameters in decal blend mode and bind the alpha channel of the image to opacity. it's just that my method allows you to save disk space so as not to render two sequences at once and it's faster , because you can use only one player in blueprints what do you sink? (I hope the translator helped me to convey the idea adequately)

Thank you for a new UE5 tutorial! I like seeing a different approach to framing a Green-Screened performance inside UE so you can render a background you like more! I was curious if you found a way to stabilize the iPhone while creating virtual shots - I tried this with an iPad but it seemed to be quite shakey and laggy compared to keyframing, which is of course less fun.
@CinecomCrew

I actually used a gimbal to shoot that xD
This video is unreal. No pun intended
OH ....... good lesson !!!
I’m so happy this is also possible in blender
Good stuff. The only thing that would be nice to add are more adjustments to the edge of the key so it blends in a bit better. I'm assuming the same lens was used in UE5 as in the shot? Using an outside mask is a great idea, I thought the only way to key was all within UE5 which has it's limitations.
Cooooooooool!
Noice!
Always so good.

Hahah ya I think your right. I haven't tried UE5 yet but blenders been giving me a run for my money. I've never been an artist of any kind anyways.
thank you gory
Nice video. Learn a lot. For the rendering, how did you render such as sharp video of yourself. My screen space video looks blurry in the engine. Thanks.
NICE
You remind me of a dutch Andrew Kramer, veeery interesting, love it!
Wow so the best
who else misses the old copy cat Fridays, they use to be very simple and easy to replicate lol
I think that wasn't Space Debris but a huge "Space Turd" that's after you, Captain Jack!
This Vcam thing is very cool! Very practical. Is there an equivalent for Android phones? I have a system with a VR tracker, so I get 6Dof tracking for the virtual camera, but I need to manually calibrate the syncing between the real cam and the virtual one. Now here's a few advice: - to avoid this "flat effect" on the character, make sure the virtual screen _always_ faces the camera. It's a simple checkbox in UE. The actor will keep its natural movements, it solves the flat effect without any compromise. It doesn't work if the video was recorded beforehands though : you need to record the real footage _and_ the virtual environment at the same time. Another similar solution would be to put the virtual screen as a child of the virtual camera, so that it moves with the cam. That screen then literally becomes a "window on the real life", you get the proper perspective. - the lightning is pretty bad on the actor ; that's because you need to tweak the material. You can get realistic colors while also having your actor's shadow and reflection on the environnement, and that increases the immersion. Can't remember the _actual_ settings though, lol.
When I render anything metallic or certain light flicker as the camera moves yours was perfect how did you render it out.
That's awsome
ur the best
That as great :D
Thx for this. One question though.. If u compare İphone and A Vive Tracker for camera tracking.. What is your advice to pick on and why.? I use Vive but if phone is better or the same I’d rather switch.
I love how the wheel rod just went clipped through the walls... XD
Important Note ⭕ : if you want import high quality video input to unreal like me who doesn't like losing quality with mp4s and Avis , import as image sequences in TIFF/PnG/exr. You have to create IMG Media Source to load this into media player . IMG media source can be found in the same panel of the player under media
@StevenDiLeo

Great great great!!! Do you think is another way to export motion tracking to UE?
Thank
You use the app to give extra movement to the footage (pretty awesome). But can you also tape the phone to the camera while recording and use it like/in stead of a vive tracker?
Nice
sorry guys!! thanks for the tutorial! how did you do to make start the composting? Blueprint or something else? thank everyone in advance.
Extremely impressive. Only thing I think that needs done to sell the effect is just blending the green screen shot with the cg background. Edges on that plate were way too sharp and black levels looked to dark compared to the rest of the ship. I wonder if unreal can export out the animation into passes for compositing.

As far as I know you can render with alpha layer. We've some projects like that in the past. But it introduced some new problems like lots of noise on the edges. I'd like to experiment more with OpenColor in UE to match the colors better, but I haven't found the time yet.
It ain’t a trash can at-all it’s a spaceship within a spaceship. Stealth technology at its epitome. Even you couldn’t figure it out. 😂 🎉 Awesome tutorial. Many Thanks.
Guys thats sooo cool love it keep going❤❤ But how you color grade jordy to match the color in UE?
@CinecomCrew
2 жыл бұрын
We honestly didn't do much color grading. Matching the light is the most important. Inside Unreal Engine, you have OpenColor to change the color spaces and all. But we didn't bothered for this video.
Hi there, I followed your steps and in principle it works but for some reason my alpha matte footage and camera footage don't sync up. Is there any way to fix that?
Thanks for the great tutorial... Do you know how to output composure in sequencer (when you have a live input via camlink). I have followed your tutorial to the letter, but my live feed always goes blank as it renders the movie out (even if I just have the camlink on a plane and don't use composure). It never renders the live feed as a movie.
@CinecomCrew how did you colour correct the key on the plane in UE? at the beginning it was looking bad(the skin colour was not right at min 11:23) but after suddenly min 13:00 was really good, but it wasn't explained in the video.
wow, muy bueno pero muchos pasos .!!! pregunto, no es mas fácil usando CamTrackAr ? luego solo agregar el "fbx" en una nueva secuencia !!
Can you make a video using a vive tracker as a camera?
Wow❣️
Also i think certain plug ins for video and media have to be enabled to use these features.
I have to raise a question, which is that whether I use UE5.1 or UE5.0 to render this video texture, the video screen in the rendering results often gets stuck, showing black edges, and I can hardly find any way.
Wish UE5 had something similar to Blenders 'import images as planes'. So easy! This is overly complicated for what it is!

Is there a way of recording the tracking info into the camera? I.e as a meta data or something as the video is being recorded, to link to virtual camera in post?
How do you scale the plane the video is played on to be 1:1 pixels? Thanks!
Can't stress how much faster this would have been in blender
More Unreal Please 🤩 Would subscribe
I’m over here still playing with blender when I should maybe jump to unreal.
"Ground control, we have a Major Tom problem" love it
Hey can you guys show how to export a scene made in unreal 5 to website with all camera controls ?
Hi Jouri, I follow you from Algeria
My green screen footage started glowing white I see the same in yours too but how did u get the colors back normal after u created the material instance
once you load the media texture, how is your video continuously playing? I have to create event begin, and simulate to get my video to play on the plane
"We have a Major Tom problem!"" Love it! Nice fun tutorial - thanks !
Is it possible to track the camera movement in the video from the beginning, get it, and apply it to the Unreal camera Directly?
Can the iphone be mounted to a DSLR & just use iphone for tracking in unreal& the camera for the actual footage?
Wow.. But can I create something similar in aftereffects cinema 4d or element3d? Coz unreal engine is way urge for my PC
Hi Cinecom ! Does "d3d11 compatible gpu (feature level 11.0 shader model 5.0) is required to run the engine " problem have a solution without changing my old_dated graphic card?...........no.2 next time talk to us about NDI technology!
How do you apply manual focus from the Camera to the Green screen footage
I want to take a few pictures of a building that no longer exists. Is there a way to use unreal to recreate the building to film yourself interacting in front of the building?
