Thank you for this, Jenni. Even though I've been DPing since 2018, I just recently joined the KZread world and discovered specialty accessories (Yes, I was using the pen with the swishy and square wax). Since discovering all you beautiful people, I have found countless ways to make my hobby more fun and more efficient. The way I first placed ABs was to pick them up on the edge of the drill, rather than centered, so that not as much wax touched the drill. Usually worked if my wax was slightly dirty. Thanks again💜🤗💜

All you need is what comes in the diamond painting kit. I really enjoy DP but regret getting caught up with all the influncers

I have alot of different "waxes" but the best one for me is Notcha Mama's Mud & only thing I use now

LOL! I came on here to see if there is a better way to place those pesky AB's. I am only on my 4th diamond art and all of them had AB's (well on I just used leftover ones from another in it...) But I was shocked when they kept stealing my wax. So I have been trying to see if anyone one has a better way to do it. I am now using regular PaddyWaxx not the super sticky for the AB's, after it has been used for a bit. But I just end up resorting to using my tweezers, I like it, it works for me. I can't do more than 3 at a time and only with the square ones lol.

When the ABs steal your wax, that’s the worst!! 🤭

I’m new so this is very appreciated!! I definitely noticed with the ABs that the pink wax is not working too great, drives me nuts lol. The Notcher Mama’s Wax isn’t on Etsy anymore..do you have any more recs? I’m looking to also get the PaddyWax, prob unscented. And do you have any recs for pens with soft grips on them? I can’t seem to find those except for the cheap plastic ones from the kits!!!

I didn’t realize that Notcher Mama’s Mud wasn’t still available. The next best thing for ABs is putty, in my opinion. Sometimes it can be more stringy but not if it’s a little dirtied up first. As far as the soft grips for pens, I’m not sure. Have you looked on Amazon for thick pen grips?

I have been dping a long time but just learned about AB drills from your video. My only question is - do i just look for AB drills similar to what is included in the kit and place them anywhere i want to? Thank you.

Thank you for this video. Have you or anyone reading this ever used pens made of wax? The tips or wax. No more pink, blue, or purple wax again. I like them. You can find them on amazon. Good painting everyone!!!

Hi I'm new to diamond art. I really got a lot of good information from your video. I wanted to ask how many drills can you place on your canvas before you refill your pen? I know how to first load it but it seems I'm refilling it a little bit often. Thanks so much!! I was trying to figure out what you were creating. Was it a poodle?

Hi Nancy! I’m not sure how many drills I can place before it runs out but the length of time really depends on what kind of wax you’re using. With the wax that comes with the kits you do have to refill often. I find the glue dots I have linked in the description lasts much longer. Haha...nope. Not a poodle. It’s a little fairy. ♥️♥️

Jennie, I've been wondering how to use ABs...I guess I was looking for how many drills?? How are they supposed to be placed? What's the rule of thumb? Thanks for what you shared...as I needed that information. I hate having the whole glue come out. I've bought a lot of different types of glue and still not happy.Great Job...ps I guess when I do a DAC kit I'm sure that will give me a clue on ABs

Yes ma’am!! DAC is a company that includes AB drills in their kits but a lot of other companies do too. 🥰🥰

Where can I buy plastic tips?

I don’t think I want ab drills I hate glitter and don’t want to deal with that coating. But I love some of the metal drills I have seen

I just got a Karla Gerard kit. It has 310 and AB310 but only one symbol on the pattern. Which do I use? Please help.

I’m not sure Cyndie! I would assume that maybe they’re giving you the option to use regular 310 but use the AB 310 in exchange for places you would like to bling up. That would be my guess! ♥️

Lots of companies that sell diamond paintings will automatically come with AB drills. You can also buy sets of colors of AB’s on Amazon that you can use to bling up your DPs that came without them. ♥️

That’s good to know!! I’ve never tried museum putty but the white putty I use (Aleene’s Instant Tacky) is stringy and makes a mess on the AB’s. I’ve heard lots of ppl say the same about other putties. I need to get the museum putty tho. That’s one I’ve yet to try.
