How to Pick Up A Prescription For The First Time

Today’s video is a tutorial on how to pick up a prescription for the first time. Don't laugh! This is a common, anxiety provoking topic for many patients. Whether it's your first time every picking up a prescription, you're a young adult, whether you're new to the United States and realizing our health care system is crazy; there's numerous reasons to find this confusing your first time around. It's also a very common search on google and KZread!
I'll walk you through the following:
1. The various ways a prescriber may send a prescription to the pharmacy
2. What to bring with you to the pharmacy (Id, Insurance card, etc)
3. The Outcomes of what may occur when you pick up the prescription (it's covered by insurance, a prior authorization is needed, it's not covered).
There's nothing to be embarrassed about for searching this term and looking up videos like this. I know this tutorial doesn't cover every detail or every nuanced outcome, but should cover most of the basic concepts of how to pick up your prescription medications from the pharmacy.
I hope you enjoy the brief overview and please subscribe and continue to support my channel so I stay motivated to continue to provide educational content and helpful tips such as these in the future.

Don’t forget to tell them to ignore the sneers from the pharmacists when you have a Scheduled medication
