I’ve always been an Nvidia guy, but I’m also a significant amd fanboi of late. Got a 7600 for Christmas but wow the driver issues have been painful. “Driver failed to respond”. This is on a rock solid system that I’ve had for years with the only change in hardware being the GPU. Psu does have enough wattage. Really disappointed and returned it, will stick with Nvidia for now but I hate their price gouging.

What would you do if you wanted to build Intel in early 2024? I'm itching to build a new PC and really want to go Intel but feel silly getting on the deadend platform. Would a 13700k hold me over until it's time for a new rig in 5ish years? Am I supposed to wait until the new chips in the fall? But then it will be all new motherboards, shaky bios, questionably stable systems for a while...all at a greater cost. For reference, I'm on a 3080 and a (shriek) i5-4590...I need to upgrade now.

The RGB fans are what's screwing w me, can't sync to mobo or AIO (both Lian Li) using Armoury Crate, and Lian Li L Connect. I kept my gpu in my build and upgraded to the i7 14700kf, 32gb of ddr5 7200mhz, a NZXT Kraken 360 and an Antec signature 1300w psu. I'm pretty happy with my current build. I don't think that I'll be adding anything to it, might go from a 280mm aio to a 360 just to fill the case a little more. However, I've been considering a racing sim rig. I don't have the space for a huge one with 3 monitors and all that, so I'm currently shopping around for a VR headset that's "glasses compatible". I've never been able to get into VR because I've worn glasses since I was in the 3rd grade, and most of them (up until now) have been difficult at best with wearing my glasses. Would love to see a video going over VR including a decent rig for running it. Great video as usual Jason!

If you have ram, the system will use it. Perfectly normal for it to be using 40% ram with those apps open, it's the same for me with only 16gb. The difference is that your computer will be much smoother because it can give more ram to each app, and even just to windows itself.

I am slowly building my next build. I've accumulated a few parts already which are the GPU, MOBO and PSU. This time I am going full AMD. My first build (which I'm currently using) was half and half CPU was AMD (7 3700x) and GPU was Nvidia (MSI 1080ti). For the parts I went with (All were on sale) Asus tuff 7900xtx OC edition ($1200 CAD) , MSI X670E MOBO ($339 CAD) and Seasonic VERTEX GX-1000, 1000W 80+ Gold, ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0 ($239 CAD) waiting for the CPU to come back in stock and lower price!! You can already guess which one it is lol. Looking forward to this build to come together. Love the vids. Happy New year all the best and God bless 🙏

With all the Super series leaks, I'm hoping prices stays low because it looks like AIB's have been going into overdrive with thr sheer amount of variations. Hopefully that translates... If the 4070ti Super comes in cheaper than the 7900XT/XTX that is.

If you do professional level editing on DaVinci than Radeon 7000 is actually your best GPU bet. So then it depends on your budget. The best of the best would be a 14700K with 7900XTX. If that's out of reach 13600K with 7900XT, or 7600 with 7900XT.

Best for what games? For how much money? What is your power supply? I'd prefer a used xx80 over a newer xx60. The first numbers are generation and being API support, but the ending digits are the clock speeds and performance within that generation. The difference between a xx50, 60, up to used xx80 or xx90 is a much larger gain than newer generations.
