Hey Rishab, I’m trying to do a CS research topic, but does it have to solve a problem? I wanted to go in depth with this and connect it with the real world/nature. I’m a junior this year so I want to get ahead of this since I started last year

i think you forgot one of the most important steps, namely getting the foundation, you cant expect to understand high level calculus not knowing algebra

  • @RishabJainK

This foundation can be obtained later; you acquire the skills that you need to do the project.

Hey Rishab, Great video as always, but I have a couple questions. I'm trying to get into research in Quantum Mechanics, but the math prerequisite is so high that I can only understand the topics intuitively not mathematically, should I pick out a new topic or is there something that I can do?

Hello bro. I am a highschool and I was super into Cosmolgy and blackholes in general, and had almost the same problem you have. To be honest, just to understand the math we need to spend years and to do research even more. I essentially didn't give up on my cosmolgy project but decided to do it later. Right now I'm working on orbital mechanics for example, and the math isn't so damn hard. Besides, since we are doing RESEARCH, we first need to understand the material at a great level. My advice ? Still learn quantum mechanics it's awesome but do your project in something that still inspires you and you think that it'll worth it.

Hi. I couldn't explore research-based opportunities in my high school years. Please share insights on how to pursue research opportunities in college freshman year as a stem and CS student and stand out from the crowd. PS- I am from India therefore would love to know about the opportunities available to students internationally. Thanks a lot!

Rishab Thank you for posting this video man cant wait for ep 3 I was soooo stuck on what to do but this broadened my mind and if i had a question to you it would be: is year 11 too late to compete in science fairs/ competitions?. It equates to around grade 10 in the US I believe.

@@brix3877 I can't do olympiads till next year because this yrs are gnna be done and i would just get a participation award as it is mostly based on the A-level spec which I have not touched cuz i got GCSE this yr but this isn't an excuse next year I am 100% going to be taking chem and bio olympiads and I am doing a whole ton of revision this summer asw as research and shadowing a PhD student in their research, and for maths max i would get in the olympiads would be bronze LOL I am not good in maths I am decent at best I get grade 8s which is like A* and a-level maths is a drag and not a subject I enjoy. Hey Rishab, Do you think that it’s feasible to delve into machine learning projects with minimal experience in coding? I’ve heard conflicting things about this, some saying that having advanced knowledge in languages like python is needed. How do you feel?
