How do you pass time at the airport?
I hear it all the time, “Man, I hate the airport!”
I get it, I do. There’s people everywhere, pushing and shoving trying to get the one up in every little circumstance. Couple that with incredibly long lines and the stress of checking in, finding your gate, and making it onto your plane on time.
So yes, airports can get very overwhelming, there is no denying that. That’s why you always hear people recommend getting to the airport two hours early.
I have learned my lesson with this first hand. I got cocky. After flying so much, I thought I had the airport timing down to a science. Well, thinking “I’ve only needed an hour to get to my gate these past couple trips, let me show up only an hour early this time” backfired big-time. I got to the airport, and all of the parking was filled. That’s not an exaggeration either. We had to drive to a lot off of airport grounds and shuttle to the airport.
