How To Paint Vampire Skin

Creeping in through your window on a carpet of fog, Vampires have invaded every aspect of media, much like the shambling corpses of the Vampire's rival, the zombie. I like my undead to be visually distinct. Just looking at a model, you know immediately if you're up against a zombie, a spooky skeleton or a vampire, regardless of armour. To do this, I paint the skin in different ways. Zombies are a pale skinned body hobbling towards you, while vampires, dead for hundreds of years and stalking the night in search of blood, have a cold, dead skin tone.

In the examples in this video, I paint the vampires from TTCombat's Strigoi Starter Set for Carnevale.

Thank you! I think it gives them that cold, bloodless look and helps them stand out from other kinds of undead units. You could use more of a blue/grey for a less stark variant, but sometimes bold is better, haha!

Oh nice! That would look cool with Blood Angel armour. The blue tint to the skin would contrast nicely with the red armour. I have a Blood Angel armour video if you wanted to check that out.
