How To Paint Half Tilt Bases

Half Tilt is the Halfling Jousting game from TTCombat, the creators of one of my favourite games, Rumbleslam.
Pitting teams of Knights against each other in the noble sport of Jousting is just one of the ways to be entertained in the land of Shortreach, no doubt when the casino of Moote Carlo is closed for topping up the buffet table.
With the incredibly detailed models are MDF rectangle bases which we can easily make it just as beautiful as the resin that will be sat atop it. And here is how I'll be painting two of my teams bases.
Lush grassy meadows lead to the Chivalrous team's Jousting Ground, so their bases are styled in this way, while the fog filled, haunted lands of Southhallow have a dark, lifeless theme adorned with gravestones.

I’m still waiting for my King Pledge to arrive, but I’ll definitely use these ideas for the bases. I’ve been really stoked to get to painting the teams. Was the Michael Knight halfling model a limited run or part of the kickstarter by the way?

I backed King Pledge, too. Cannot wait for it to arrive! Micky Squire was the Cyber Monday model TTCombat did last year. Black Friday was the alternate Black Lamp for Carnevale. They have said he'll be playable in Half Tilt, so hopefully he gets another release with the event exclusives.
