Club members voted on the next painting videos. Hordak won't be painted for a while. He is going to feature in a video next week though when I review the Horde set.

Still looking forward to seeing a play through thanks! I’m red green color blind also! Sometimes that makes it difficult to paint!

Ah, at last! Skeletor 💀 Very well done. I can imagine that it is not so easy to get the colors right, but the result is worth the efford and finally he can lead his gang to the daily defeat we so love him for 😄

The skull and the clothing took a bit of work to look right. I had way more trouble with him than I did with Orko or He-Man. He's actually a bit better than He-Man in the game. He costs more points to add to your team as well. He's still ending up in the river, though.

Skeletor wearing shin guards but no shoes reminded me of guys in the winter wearing a coat and cargo shorts.

All the best confrontations between He-Man and Skeletor ended up with He-Man stepping on Skeletor's toes. Skeletor didn't mind; he always used to say "defeat is okay."

Thank you. They are great miniatures to paint. They are taking quite a long time to work through though as I want to make them look as "right" as possible.

Really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing. It's a superb game and miniatures painted to this standard really do breathe life into a classic and iconic lore, to make it even better. Long live the 1980s...!!

You're probably already aware, but they have three Battleground promos available on their site at the moment. Reprints of Battle Cat and Panthor (which are different to the Fields of Eternia promos) and Hordak on Mantisaur.

Skeletor’s origin has changed several times I think. He was originally supposed to be an alien from another dimension. Later it was insinuated he was King Randor’s brother, Keldor, who got involved with dark magic and then got blasted into another dimension before coming back corrupted. I believe that changed again in the 2000s series but I never watched that. I think there was one origin version that involved him being Keldor but being merged with a demon. I don’t know if one of those is currently considered canon as my knowledge really only extends to the mini comics and original Filmation series.

I have got to ask this - How is he proportioned next to hero quest minis? Similar scale or way off? Skeletor would be a pretty hilarious evil sorcerer substitute.

Ha. I've said for a while I would love to give HeroQuest a MotU retheme. The classic chaos sorcerer miniature was basically Skeletor anyway. Battleground miniatures and new HeroQuest miniatures are on exactly the same size bases, and Skeletor stands just slightly taller than the barbarian from the core set but has smaller, less heroic features. He makes the new chaos sorcerer miniature look a bit wimpy.

Did the evil sorcerer in purple with red accents. When I was done, couldn't help but think - "Man, Queen Grimhilde really let herself go"

Most online places have it, but the base game is currently selling out it's initial run so some places are waiting for restocks. Firestorm Games and Zatu Games have it in stock right now. Wayland games gets each wave in. Magic Madhouse and Chaos Cards stock it.

I like the Skeletor miniature. He looks better painted. No offence, but I think the Skeletor miniature looks like a constipated monkey. 🐵
