I appreciate the time that you took to show how to "fix" a "mistake" when one of the viewers asked how to thin down a whisker. It shows that you are a fantastic teacher. As usual, you did not put your painting first, but took the time to show your students how to do something in case they came across the situation in their own painting experiences. I have seen you do this so often. Thank you so much for this. Beautiful painting of the cat, I love it.

Proud cat, luminous eyes, great to learn how to use the background colour in this way! What animals to paint? Cats, cats, cats... All sizes, breeds and species :) By the way, when I figured out that it's cheaper to get brushes from the Brush Guys than from the British or German Amazon sites, I was not buying from the UK as you thought (I take that as a compliment), but from Sweden. I don't, however, think that location within Europe should make a difference. The BG are probably the cheapest option for all us Europeans!

Uhh, Ginger, that's a wild business idea.. I live in Sweden, at least for now (am Swedish), but yes, why not? Perhaps a European branch if "the guys" would like to cooperate? With a unity shipping price for the EU (including the UK even after brexit)? Food for thought...

I can remember as a teenager going to school in Switzerland, that calling my parents in the US was like calling the planet Mars. about that expensive and exotic! Even calling another city in Spain from Madrid was a 3 hr wait. Now we have the internet, skype, and stuff like youtube and while you live in Sweden its like you are almost next door. Amazing

Yes, isn't it! Amazing, I mean. By the way, I was sent off to school in Germany. It was run by nuns. Calling my father did not even come to mind. Too far, too expensive. I put letters in bottles and sent them down the Rhine. Still haven't got a reply ;)

I like the fine points. I have one of the medium points (a white one) which is ok to have, but I like the fine one best. .

Horses are always a favorite and ginger is phenomenal at painting them!! She has several horse lessons on her online art academy. Posca Pens from Amazon, or jerrys or Dick Blick. Yes you can get the shirt on Woot. look through shirt archives . I have had it for years and it wears really well.

Have you tried Sakura pens? If so, can you substitute them for Pasca pens? I really love this impressionist style. I'm too much of a perfectionist. I hope learning from you will loosen up my style.

You can use any pen that is water proof when dry. I used to use Uni oil painting pens and Sharpie oil pens but they worked for about 3 times, dried up and were a waste of money in my opinion. But when I discovered Posca pens, the first ones I bought are still working 6 months later... amazing.

Omg. I completely forgot about carbon paper! Embarrassing because I’m old enough that I had typed on carbon paper for decades. I have been tracing onto Saran Wrap, turning it over, painting the lines in acrylic and pressing it onto the canvas before the paint dries. Usually a smudgy mess but it has given me the basic positions OK. What a pain, though.

A transfer paper made for painters is called Seral. It comes in a lot of colors. chalk smudged on the back of a piece of paper works too.
