How to paint Freehand Banners for your Army
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi Guys, in this video I build a small Banner at the request of a friend for his Ad mech army and go through the steps I took to create the freehand painting. I use a combination of Stencils and masks to create the image. Hope you enjoy! If you have any questions about materials or techniques, feel free to give me a shout in the comments.

Of course, without a skull is not 40k haha. Thanks for watching 👍 ✌️
Hey! Great freehand! And the intro is such a signature that I get excited when I hear it because I know I’m about to witness greatness!

Haha Ken you are too kind. This was part of a small ongoing commission I did for a subscriber. It wasn't planned to be a video but I thought it could be fun. Will be back to building stuff again very soon.
I've never messaged you before, but I want you to know how much I appreciate your channel. I've watched many of your previous videos and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creativity. -Rick, USMC

@@silversscratchbuiltproduct6277 Thank you! I really mean that. I know your always one of the first to watch a new video, I recognise some of the regulars, so when I said thank you to the community at the end of this video it's people like you who I'm referring to. Lots more to come 👍👍👍
For those without an airbrush, you can also apply the paint through the stencil using a sponge. You may need multiple coats to build up the color.

Great tip. I have an airbrush so I use it, but there are always many different ways to achieve similar results. I often use a sponge to quickly apply some colour in varied ways. Thanks for watching
Hello! Definitely a good video! Here you will find something to pick up when using masks. Good work!! I myself have used 3D-printed masks with very good results, but it was for slightly larger projects. However, I have a bit of criticism ...: When you choose to narrate your videos, which I personally appreciate, the music should not be so loud (absolutely subjective of course!). I think most people who like your channel also like your voice. Hope you take the critique correctly and continue with your wonderful videos. Geez what I like them !! (sorry for the long rant ;-)

Dude it all good. I completely hear you. I got a bit carried away with the loud music in this one, usually I go for something more calm and ambient. But I will pay extra attention in the future. Its all love here and appreciate the feedback 👍👍
Love the channel! The intro is a bit loud compared to the dialogue though, blasts my ears away when I’m wearing headphones...

Copy that! Apologies for your ears. Will lower the volume in the future
I quite love the results, although I thought you were going to add movement to the banner taking advantage of the brass sheet you wer using as a base. I reckon that's a missed opportunity...

Fair point! It was for a commission and this was the clients request but a bit of movement would have worked really well. Next time haha!! Thanks for watching
Turn the music down to your voice. It's too distracting and it's hard to hear you over the music.
This is one of your best videos to date! I was riveted to this one!

Cheers Michael, it is a bit different from my usual approach but something that was on my hobby desk so thought I'd share it. Got a couple nice projects in progress too. Glad you liked it and the thanks at the end of the video is to people like yourself. So thank you 👍👍👍
