I really really like the design of the Nurgle Marine. Don't get me wrong, GW's sculpts for the modern Death Guard are great, but I really like the simplicity in this design without the need for gore, mutations or huge horns. It's refreshing. It has a WW2 feel that I think has been overshadowed in modern Death Guard.

The jump in quality of painting across all levels of the hobby thanks to KZread blows my mind. I consider myself an OK painter (after 20 years on and off 🤣) and whilst your work from the mid 2000's was exceptional at the time that's about the level I'm at now, like a lot of other people, whereas you are actual leagues ahead putting out some incredible work.

Those 2013 Beastmen are my favourite (so far at least...) Absolutely love those - as you say they tell a story, and I love the general style of them. Gorgeous!

I love your LOTR mini paint jobs - it would be great to see a video of you tackling one, especially given how small they are.

I’m so grateful for your longer format videos! I know the algorithm punishes you for it! It’s painful to watch you critique yourself, but I know it’s a fundamental part of getting better as an artist! Ty for continuing to make great content! ♥️

thanks a lot! ...as for the algorithm...it actually favours long form content, as watchtime and retention are king currently. The limiting factor has been for me to find long form content that a lot of people want to watch. That's why 10-15 minute videos are a bit of a sweetspot for just painting videos. This here has been a cool video to make! but obviously not replicable really. If I ever find out what a lot of people want to watch for a longer period of time that is painting related I will definitely make more content like that!

Deathkorp was awesome and those armour parts on the beast were amazing but for me those beastmen were the best! You didnt even mention the metallics on the axes which are sick..! The jump from 2008 to 2013 was the most enjoyble for me although I have to say as well, your heavier than metal series is what waters my mouth the most. You re just awesome dude, thnx for the inspiration!

Amazing stuff. Although it's weird to see these models today again, remembering seeing and marveling at them on the pages of White Dwarf so many years ago. It's like travelling back in time to the age of 5th edition 50k.

watching this video certainly was a humbling experience. It's really funny having a look at a model and only thinking "wauw this is amazing". And then afterwards finding out about all these things you didn't see or understand beforehand. When you critiqued Arwen's face I was shocked. But then hearing the arguments I understood what could be changed.

Not through the whole video yet but 1) love the idea of self-criticizing your work and 2) respect for the stuff you say around 05:40 and calling it valid, not everyone does that, love that I found your channel some days ago.
