Seriously, I could have watched a whole video of you walking around your adorable little town in the snow with your hat and beautiful smile! This painting is beyond amazing! The layout, the detail, you have such a talent for bringing birds and animals to life! I need to find the second part of this now!

You are so kind. Thanks so much. You know I love animals. It’s what I studied in school. I think it’s where I find the most joy in painting. Thai was a fun piece as crows are my favorite birds and I loved playing with the different blues and purples and grays

I do this similar and also with charcoal, because of the flow. But I would draw several birds, then cut them out, then move them around.

Hi Lisa. Yes. I also cut out shapes and move them around. That helps a lot with composition.

In a Hindu culture, crow plays a very important part, as they are knew as wise, so how about " Wise Birds" or "worshipful birds"...😜

First off... that hat, gurl! We happen to be doing a few birds the other day. Just now Julia said "Oh look... first three charcoal lines and she already had a better wing than I managed all day long." Love all the movement in this. And then the music kicks in - just in time for morning coffee. Really great painting. LOVE the high contrast, graphic art feel of it. Like splurches (yeah, "splurches") of dark ink that happened to form intricate raven designs. Thanks, as always, for sharing.

I gotta say...love me some hats. Gigi Pip, y’all! Love em. Ha ha. I so wish we all lived closer. I know we would have a ball hanging out...just sayin. You gotta know...birds are sorta my jam. I once thought about becoming an ornithologist...seriously. I have had many birds (still have a cockatiel) in my past, I love them. Crows have always been my favorite of all birds. I was told by two different Native Americans...one in Seattle and one in Vancouver that the Raven or Crow was my spirit animal and totem. I would love to see Julia’s bird piece...will it be your next video? You guys totally rock.

Does Kingsport need another gallery space? Maybe on the bad side of the tracks? Nothing but loud messes, an unusual amount of fog, and disco lights coming out of our joint. That's how you make "art," right? Right??

@@trovearts9509 there is alway room around here!! Seriously. You might be surprised ...cost of living is cheap, rent not bad. A lot of artists have relocated here. My student Shelly and her husband are artists (blade smiths) and came here from Charleston SC and love it. Said it was a good move for them. No jokin
