I've just tried this technique and it's the first time I've liked the final finish of the metallic. Thank you so much for sharing it.

Again very clear and awsome. Thank you a lot. One thing that I think also adds to it a lot, is the contrast to the rest of the materials. The end result becomes a lot clearer, when contrasted to the other materials on the model (like the fur in this case). The result in the prior stages before these got painted was sometimes a bit difficult to judge.

perfect for me. I have a paladin oath breaker for DnD and I wanted him in black armour and was going to do NMM but I am not really at that level just yet. This will be perfect for him and looks great.

I do think that the result looks cool, 1 method that i use for black metal is basecoat with that same Vallejo Dark Aluminum, then using Blacj Templar contrast paint over the top, and finally edge highlighting with a brighter silver, usually from the Scale 75 Alchemy range

Would you recommend a matte primer like Pro Acryl's black or a Satin like GW?

Looks cool! I'm curious, why/when do you pick true metalics over non-metalic metal painting and vice versa? Like, what are some of the possible reasons to go with one over the other?

to be honest how much time i want to spend on the model or in what mood i am. Originally the bret knight i painted a couple weeks ago was inteded to be nmm, but since a lot of people requested a part 2 i decided to keep it begginer friendly exploring colors in tmm

To add my two cents as well, I want to get good tabletop quality models to play games with. This is a quicker method and I quite like it.
