wonderful! it's amazing
beautiful... thank you
This is great. I love how you don’t use pastel pencils to let the work less realistic, also I don’t have pastel pencil.
Good lesson!! Thanks !
Wonderful lessons
I am going to try this one !
candugiful It´s called fixativ and makes your pictues last for a long time Thomas, Denmark
It would help if we could see your reference photo or real life set up! Smart to add the voice over instead of trying to describe the action while doing it.
THIS IS FANTASTIC....TFS....:)

I have an assignment of painting pear with soft pastels thank u for this its helping😊
It's Good.!
This is very interesting and informative! i'm always too impatient for colouring, especially layering, so i tend to not use this form of media. But i'd like to!

I actually find pastels one of the easiest mediums to layer and build up colour with. I always get frustrated with other media like acrylics and watercolours, and I've completely given up on coloured pencils because it just takes way too much to build up colour. That's just my personal opinion anyway.

Dottie Murphy. So softly and sensitively done, I was breathless.Lovely .
Are you using oil or oil free pastels? I like oil myself. But I tend to struggle blending. It takes a lot of finger pressure to get a proper blend going and often tends to hurt after a while.
Nice
I love your artwork! How long did this take to finish. My art students are currently doing this for a project. What oil pastels did you use in this project? thanks again for the amazing video :)
Do you think I could follow along with oil pastels? I got mi tentes paper and sennelier pastels

Very nice tutorial and very good result. Unfortunately the boundary of the media can't seen and what kind of model was for this painting? Real, or was it made from a picture?

Chiewere .....good question. I’m waiting to see if it will be answered! So often, these instructional videos do not show the reference photo or the real set up. It’s important to see what the artist sees.
👏👏
I just blew on my IPad screen to get rid of the pastel crumbs. 😆
Hi! Can I paint with a cheaper soft pastel, like the brand Reeves?
I can't hear well. 'Can you tell me what you called the blending ??? tool you were using? Thanks....
What kind of pastel did you use for this painting?

I followed your tutorial and i got great results. Thinking about selling it. Would this be allowed?

No, as you followed a tutoria, this is not your work. If you designed the composition and everything yourself, then you would have the right to sell.

Elizabeth Gawronski ..will the sprayed fixative affect the color of the pastels?
@cg8397
Жыл бұрын
@@tanyastinson4633Hairspray is usually acidic and so it damages the work in the long run. Use professional fixative, or store flat behind a sheet of glassine, or frame under glass with a spacer making sure that the glass is at least 1 cm away from the pastel surface.

Though "Table" component disappointingly amateurish, the pears and technique otherwise masterful. Table looks like it's made of construction paper cutouts, not wood which would be more convincing and simpler to render if out of dark walnut with a reflective, waxed finish, which would have reflected the "glow" of the pears.
@renzo6490

Patrick K Darnall ...I think that yours is a valid observation. I wonder if the table top and the background were intentionally rendered with less expertise so as not to compete with the pears for the viewers attention.
