As long as you asked: It's impossible to enjoy your narrative any more than I already do. To be honest, given the right producer(s), you could easily be an American staple. You may not want that...at all. Which is fine. My point is that your videos resonate in a way that's impossible to describe, except that's its comforting and enjoyable in equal measure. Keep up the good work...and forget the American (or French...or Aussie) accent. Your voice is spot-on, and your words are a perfect fit for your images. Much gratitude!

I couldn’t agree more. Very well stated. My favorites are the long ones in which Stuart explains very helpful tips/methods, while throwing in some very enjoyable chatter. I find his voice very relaxing & often re-listen to his podcasts when painting. If anything I enjoy my own 🎨 more as I listen to Mr Davies.

“What else should we talk about?” How about how awesome you are. Oh and I’m still in the middle of this vid, but gotta say you’re very encouraging. Thanks for that. Oh since you asked I much prefer to hear you talk throughout about the process. Background noise? Nooo keep it on, if we’re asking me. I don’t have misophonia but the opposite. The sounds stimulate the sense of paint going on the board. It’s highly participatory. And the outro music was badass. Nice version.

And so I watched this video the whole Sunday, start to finish--- bit by bit, went to have breakfast, fed the cats, watched the sea, thinking and contemplating.... and what an inspirational Sunday it was, Stuart! Yes, please talk all the time. Sometimes I make notes, like "It is not about precision, it is about feeling, waking emotion"; " Push the land up into the sky, it gives perspective." I have learned so much from you the past year. Thank you!

I am from germany and i love to listen to your peacefull voice and like to hear some storys about your interesting live and the good informations about painting while i am painting alone in my studio. Make your videos as long as you can...i watch them all several times. Because of your videos i paint a lot more landscapes in oil than in acrylics and i enjoy both. You are a wonderfull teacher and your paintings are amazing. This " Foggy Landscape " is fantastic and i love it. Stay save and never give up making your interesting videos for us! Definitely an element of genius in what you do Stuart - I don't quite mean that you were born with a paint brush in your hand and had the immediate ability to swish some paint around a board and create a beautiful scene, but just, whatever genetics you inherited combined with a lifetime of work has resulted in a fantastic eye and a seductively magical painting style - keep on keeping on, we're all winning from it

Lol, I prefer the narrative, it adds to the engagement and entertainment! If someone doesn't want to listen, it is easy to mute. Otherwise, chatter on as it allows the viewer to see the thought process that is the driving force to the painting! And yes, in a painting, it is "my world" so I can create it as I like. Definitely! Thank you very much. Enjoyed the video and the painting!

I always watch the whole painting. But every now and then i take break from it and watch furder next time. Seeing you paint a painting is like a story. Once i hooked in to the story line of the painting i have to see the whole painting until the end. So no matter how long the video is, i'm watching it all the way but with a couple of breaks in between. I don't know how KZread picks that up. But i always try and leave a comment. Because i am running addblocker. I don't want to see adds that are not relating to painting when i watch your video's. This painting looks amazing. And the picture is also worth framing. It is awesome. With the orange of the early sunrise. I love it.

I haven’t gone to any school and have just started painting, so little things that you know on an intuitive level may be unknown to me, so talking about those helps. Wonderful work! I love how you did the fog effect in this painting. Not to mention the depth of the sky. I have been watching your whole videos for a long time. Please make them as long as they need to be!!! People who prefer shorter videos can always fast forward or look for something else. As far as the talking, please keep sharing your thought process. It is incredibly important to hear what an artist says and feels about it.👌 It is particulatly helpful to hear WHY you do or not do certain things. Just adds value to the learning process 🤗 I believe that adjusting the length and the amount of talk about your work would be detrimental to the teaching/ learning experience . Your style is very unique and personal, that is what makes you an artist. Please keep doing things YOUR WAY!!!! And thank you for taking the time to produce your videos to help us gain confidence in the art of painting. I would love to see a video of the finished works of your students!!!! I love hearing you talk during the painting process. Your voice is easy to listen to. Not all artists have a pleasing sound.

Yes... I agree.. Keep talking. For me, it's a mix of excellent information, guidance, friendliness, and not without some welcome relaxation therapy.

Do whatever you are most comfortable with. That way your painting comes from the heart and becomes your true reflection of your inner feelings.

My role in life is to let the cat out, or in. Sometimes I get to paint.

Keep up the narrative Stuart. We like it and it connects us more with the process, and get insight into directions and the process.

Yes! Keep talking! It’s pleasant and informative. Tell us more about your color mixing when you change it up. Yours is my favorite KZread subscription, I think because you make viewers feel that we are in your studio while you’re painting. Thanks so much for sharing your extensive knowledge!
