Gonna get back into painting figures. Had a stab before but as I'm a total beginner, I got disillusioned as I couldn't get it to look realistic enough. Gonna be watching these videos a lot. Brilliant work Shayne. I found it to be very relaxing even though frustrating cos of lack of skill getting to me. I need to learn more about airbrushing and paint mixing etc. As I said I am a beginner but I'm determined now!

Hey Dave, the best thing to bear in mind when starting with figures is to give yourself plenty of time to learn and make mistakes without feeling too bad about it. The more you paint the more easier and straight forward it will become but just give yourself the time to get there, and in no time you'll be flying

its just my passion my friend I very much love what I do, and I love to share it with the community for everyone's enjoyment. As for the technique the easiest way to acquire it, is just to paint and enjoy yourself :) thank you my friend !

Really nice , is that an alpine fig or Warriors? I believe I have that in my stash. Well done , really beautifully done ....cheers!!! Are you using soft white light? I dont use anything but white soft color in painting especially skin tones , nothing yellow

this figure is from Mantis Miniatures in this case, though Alpine have their own version of this figure

I use soft box lighting or daylight bulbs for painting and building it is the best way to go

Hey Jack ! this figure is actually a Mantis figure out of the box with the exception of the M42 that is a spare Dragon gun

Yes he is indeed, he is filmed inspecting abandon US vehicles of the 14 US. Cav group at they ambushed a few squadrons of them, alpine miniatures have a version of him too ;)
