HOW TO PACK FOR FULL TIME TRAVEL IN 2022 (CARRY ON ONLY)

HOW TO PACK FOR FULL TIME TRAVEL IN 2022 (CARRY ON ONLY)
In this video filmed in the most Southern city in the world in Argentina, (which I've been meaning to do for a while) I answer the questions about how I re packed and downsized my bag for full time travel, the second time around. Although the pandemic meant we didn't get too far in our travels the first time, we still learnt a lot about what we did and did not need to bring with us and thanks to many months in lock down I was able to watch other videos like this one that helped me shrink my baggage from over 25kg to just 10kg and both my arms and bank balance are very happy about that!
I hope this video is helpful as I share a few of my favourite things that I've learnt and have helped me pack lighter as I unpack my bag for you all to see here. If you have any other ideas of how I can improve I'd love to hear them as I'm always looking for ways to improve my packing set up as anything that makes life on the road full time easier, is a bonus!
Thanks for watching and please subscribe to see all our travel adventures around the world! :)

Thanks for sharing your packing secrets! Especially the laundry detergent tip. We were looking for a better solution for laundry. We just bought packing cube very similiar to your and can't wait to put them to the test. Congrats on getting your luggage down to carry-on only. It's a goal for us too, but we'll see in two weeks whether or not we can do it.

If someone told me two years ago when we were packing up our entire house and having a panic the night before our flight at getting everything we needed into a big suitcase, I’d never believe I’d be here now with 10kg! Crazy what can be achieved with trial and error learning. I wouldn’t have it any other way now, I love every time we need to leave for somewhere else I’m fully packed in minutes! You can do it!

That's amazing that you can fit all of that in those 2 bags! I'm not a light packer I would need a larger case for sure. Those packing cubes that compress are amazing though!! Definitely going to look into those. And that eco egg seems pretty cool.

Am brand new to your channel, we're a fellow Brit couple about to start a four month adventure around South America, and can't tell you how useful I've found your videos already! This one completely blew me away, to be honest, you've some great ideas that I've borrowed - thank you for the inspiration! Will definitely try compression packing cubes, and will get some laundry sheets that I think would be great for travelling with! Can I please ask which Rab jacket you have? Many thanks. Part of our trip in Peru has been cancelled due to the civil unrest there, so planning to fill the gap with either Salta region or Mendoza, and trying to absorb as much advice from your recent videos as possible to help us decide. In March we'll be at your current destination (according to your IG - am fangirling, not a creeper, honest! 😂), so really excited to see your future videos too! Thank you again, safe travels & happy 2023 to you both 😊

I have the valiance Rab, it’s waterproof and so so warm I feel invincible in it, you can find it on our gear page on our website (in description). How exciting that you’re heading off to South America soon. We’re a little way behind from Instagram (as you know!) but we’ll be sharing more of this incredible continent in the coming weeks! Feel free to ask us any questions along the way and we’ll try and help out. Have the best time and safe travels!

Packing is always a struggle! Thankfully we usually go to trips from Turkey and come back there so it gives us a little bit more flexibility to change bags and belongings every couple of months or so! It is not fun to pack - like not at all, but it is part of the journey! We have the same converter, its a life saver! We use the packing cubes as well, I like them being see through to see which has what! Great video!

I love the laundry egg and will buy one for sure! I’ve used compression packing cubes for several years and would never go back to packing with the regular ones. I also use powder dry shampoo and also toothpaste tablets to free up my clear TSA bag. I also pack tiny soap leafs in my personal item bag that come in handy if there’s no soap. They also make the leafs for shampoo and conditioner. I bought mine at REI, but think they are available on Amazon. The toothpaste powder is also on Amazon. • @TideKnotTravellers

I have had airlines ask me but more as a request than a demand. As many airlines have a different option so I choose cabin bag for me and checked for Craig’s bigger bag the price is different so technically the cabin baggage service has been paid for so if they need to change it due to overbooking on their part it is usually asked. I prefer not to check mine in though as I did it the other day and they broke the lock on my bag whilst in their ‘care’ I now decline when they request as it’s not the service I want or pay for.
