I love your greenery arrangement, it's gorgeous. I think your hair up suits you. My go-to outfit is a pair of dark blue jeans, either a smart top or a silk blouse and a blazer, either black or navy. Shoes could be sneakers or ballet flats or something a bit dressier.

04/19/24 I am a new subscriber about 19 days ago and really enjoy watching your backlog of videos! The red sweater backwards is a striking look! Then the red sling back shoes are a great idea! Your hair up in very pretty for a change. Ever wear your long hair braided and pull it to front of shoulder? That would be a different look and leave the top framing your face. I did this years ago in my 20-40s. It was to my waist! Then had it cut to shoulders by 50s, a Bob cut in 60s. Now age 75 it is at ear length and I love this for my Senior years. I wear my Diamond stud earrings, gold hoops, pearl studs, platinum and Diamond studs in a rotation. I kept my very best items! Jewelry is something I have acquired (plus nice handbags) in my 56 years of marriage as birthday and anniversary gifts. I do wear a beret in winter. Or cloche hat with brim turned up at face. In summer I sometimes wear a straw hat to outside events. We used to go annually to the Kentucky Derby, a hat event to the races! We live in Colorado and it is very casual here. More denim is worn here daily. I don’t adhere to this but rather dress a little better. Another thing I enjoy is a ‘touch’ of animal print. I think I would add a belt in brown animal print to last outfit for that brown jacket and the brown boots. You are very talented in both fashion and floral arrangements. Do you make wreaths also? I’d love to see that! We no longer travel abroad but only to local states of Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico. I also enjoy wearing my American Indian turquoise jewelry on more casual occasions. Your ideas to expand my current capsule type wardrobe are inspiring! I no longer have the huge wardrobe of younger years. But I really enjoy what I own now to expand in accessories my basics. Our rainfall averages 12 inches annually. I have no need for rain wear. Love the trench coat you reviewed. But it would not be a piece I would invest in for my very dry climate. A very enjoyable video!

Appreciate the floral arrangement. A few years ago I signed up to bring flowers for church service. I really didn't know anything about arranging flowers but kept learning and started collecting some lovely vases. And you are thinking out of the box too. 🌹

Thanks Deirdre. Love your floral arrangement. The openness of the upper bits lends a really nice balance and airiness to the greater density below. And I think you look very nice with your hair up. The collarbone and neck area of a woman are so feminine, it's nice to expose them.

I always look forward to seeing what floral arrangement you have for us, modest or large. And, yes rethink your aversion to wearing your hair up-- you look good with an updo! I love in the black on black column in winter, making all the changes you suggested to get the most of my closet. It's a time- and money-saver.

Love the foliage - I feel it brightens up a room, especially where certain family members are extremely sensitive to any pollen. I often have an arrangement of twigs from my huge rosemary bush. Adds a calming scent to the atmosphere too.

Hi Deidre, Loved all of the outfit ideas and thanks for the inspiration. I try to remember to change up with accessories and hopefully the right jewellery. I think the casual "up do" looks fine - wearing your hair long looks really great but most sophisticated when worn falling to one-side (my baby fine hair will only do its own thing so I just try to go along with it!). Love the black v neck top. I don't tend to put a jumper over my shoulders. Definitely adds, usually in an unflattering way, to a big bust. I tend to do a scarf filling some of the same purpose, look.

Hi Dierdre, the foliage arrangement looks very professional. Well done. Honestly!!! Your beautiful hair is totally stunning, up or down. You could be like me with frizzy hair, a high forehead and big nose...I look ridiculous with my hair tied up. So just use your pretty assets. I love the variety of options you provided in this video. I really love greenery and flowers. Here is a suggestion I learned in floral classes, always make sure your arrangement moves to both sides, the front and the back. I would add more greenery to the right and left sides of your arrangement, less pointing straight up, the arrangement will have more movement and the viewer’s eyes will move around. Saying that you should still have a focal point not necessarily dead centre in your arrangement. Think of odd numbers like threes and fives in an arrangement. I am not being critical because I like what you have done, just sharing a few tips I’ve learned from those who know way more than me. Have a great week.
