I love this idea! But my worry is that If I truly need that original receipt for a return or proof of purchase or for taxes, etc., what if they won’t accept my scanned copy of the receipt? Do you guys worry about that or do you keep your original receipt for a time and then toss? 😬

The whole purpose of this scanner is so we won't have to keep the receipts. Good question though - will the IRS accept a copy of the receipt? They didn't used to accept copies - have they changed their policy? Before the receipts are destroyed, better contact the IRS. This would be a wonderful device to eliminate all that paper clutter!!
