Thanks for the vid, had my 208 for 6 months and not been out at night until this week. Couldn't figure out the lights, owners manual is so complex as to be useless, even more so in the dark. Worst manual of any car I ever had!

Peugeot lights are simple, select auto and never touch the switch again. While in the auto position front Drl’s will be on and also the rear lights too. Front and rear drl’s but only in the auto position. A lot of folk don’t realise that.

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it. I do explain to my students about the automatic lights but I like them get used to using the lights manually as the car they buy may not have automatic lights and then they will have gotten used to not having to think about whether they need lights on or not and end up driving in the dark without any lights on.

Yes modern cars with their dashboard lights on all the tine can lull people into a false sense of security. It used to be if you couldn’t see the speedo you realised you had no lights on. That’s why I like the Peugeot front and rear drl’s when in auto, at least you can still be seen. My 3008 has full LED lights with auto dip too, that is really amazing how quickly they either dip or go full beam. A fantastic safety feature.

I can't turn my daytime running lights off on this model but my older model I could go into the settings menu to turn them off.

Does anyone know how to ‘flash’ someone with the Peugeot 208? I know this isn’t generally a practice you should be doing but I’ve never seen anyone explain how to do this?

Hi Jordan, your absolutely right it isn't generally good practice as if used incorrectly in can cause confusion. But to flash lights in a Peugeot and in most cars simply give the light/indicator stalk a gentle pull towards you just enough to flash them, be carful not to pull it to hard as in some cars this can put the main beam light on, hope this helps😉👍🏾
