How to Operate a Back Hoe in a Cemetery

If you are a fan of heavy equipment, you'll enjoy this video!
‪@GailRubin‬ attended ICCFA University, the summer continuing education event of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association. With her role as president of Historic Fairview Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM, she attended the College of Land Management & Grounds Operations on a scholarship.
One morning was spent learning to safely operate a back hoe, training both the spotters giving directions and operators working the controls. Gino Merendino, Dean of the College of Land Management & Grounds Operations, is "Chief Gardener" at Merendino Cemetery Care. He provides an overview of the hand signals used to communicate with the back hoe operator.
Gail Rubin also interviewed Chad Eubanks, General Manager of Arlington Memorial Gardens in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The cemetery hosted this practice session in an undeveloped area and gave the students a tour of the grounds. Learn more at www.dignitymemorial.com/funer...

Loved this, Gail! Now you have something new to add to your resume--backhoe operator! I got to do this once on a Bobcat. That was fun, too, but not nearly as scary--Bobcats are MUCH smaller! Fun video! Thanks.
