Thank you for the information. A very Good place to start.. Common sense is the key. The problem is that most people don't have common sense.

i would have loved more details under each header, for example what companies can i order escape rooms from? what software specifically is available for bookings? how much revenue would i realistically expect from a one room escape room in a popular city? etc.

Finding our location was the toughest part. Because escape rooms don't really fit any zoning for most cities, you will likely have to go through the longest process (conditional use permit) which takes 3 months itself. The worst part is that they scrutinize every little detail during this process and can deny you at any point due to parking, ADA accessibility, fire code issues, etc. There is also a public planning commission where all the neighboring business can come and speak out for or against your business coming into that location. It can be rough and tedious.

Buying one is not very creative, nor does it speak to your individual expectations, personality, etc. And almost 100 thousand bucks is definitely not cheaper.

These “tips” are no different than starting any other business. Research, planning, financing, decor. Common sense.
