How To Ollie Into Manuals
This is a topic I've been asked about rather frequently whenever I do a video about manuals. I maintain that teaching someone balance is something that you can't just do over the internet. I takes a lot of practice but, once you have your manuals down, learning how to ollie and do other tricks into them is the next step.
Hopefully there is a tip or two in here to help you out if this is something that you are working on.
As always, thank you for watching and I will see you next time! :)

Beginner skaters, especially older ones, should definitely practice manuals, as they're low-impact but high-fun tricks that are a stepping stone to five o's, nose grinds, etc., but they also just improve your overall board control. I think it's much easier if you have access to a mannie pad that you can approach straight-on, rather than from the side, but the idea of course is the same and should come natural when you're ready. One tip I'd have to really drill in that muscle memory balance is to bend your knees a little more - usually when people wheelie, they kind of lock into a position where their back leg is pretty straight, but when you ollie into a manual, depending on the height of the pad, your back knee will be bent, so learn how to get and keep your balance with your knees further bent. It can also help, especially with nose mannies, to think of it less as jumping and more as stepping onto a curb. Anyhow, my 2 cents. Great content as always, dude!

I really wish I got invested when I skated as a kid and tried really going some where, now I'm 21 and me and my friend are going to get into skating together. I'm starting with a blank cheap board that's just black and if I see me going some where potentially will definitely invest for a better board. Unfortunately can't get a skateboard until next week though. Either way I really hope I go somewhere with it and push myself hard enough.

@nates9778

Your not keeping you balance while bending down for a jump and it helps if you keep a little bit more weight on you front foot as it fixes this problem. Another thing you can do i jump a little bit higher than usual because it helps keep you board underneath your feet.
I dunno if you're gonna read this but I cant ever lock a manual after an ollie, up onto my local manny pad or on flat. I set the wheels down immediately every time. I can ollie straight and even quite high, I can control it to where I'm only jumping just high enough to get onto it so I'm not coming down too hard, and I can manual the length of a basketball court, but I cant land into it at all, like I lose it the second I land. I dont know what I'm doing wrong, my feet even land in the right spot to balance. It's driving me nuts. Is it something you just keep trying til it clicks?
First everything
I love your vids notice me please :)
I feel like nose manuals are harder on flat then up something not sure why but has always been that way for me
I cant even ollie on an object :(
