If you learn this, it doesn’t go away. I’m 27 and just picked up the skateboard for the first time since I was 13 and after a few tries I still got it.
Thanks Braille Army. I'm 34 and just landed my first ollie and rolling ollie today. Feeling great and these videos helped so much.

Landed 4 ollies today ( not moving ) just keep on watching this videos. I’m 37 and Aaron inspired me to go out and skate even though I’m getting a lot of bruises falling ( not using pads but using a helmet LOL ) Just keep on skating, if you’ll not gonna get the trick for trying many tries always (practice) and do it over and over and over again. Dnt be frustrated bec that’s part of it. Go out grab ya board and skate 😁 Love from Seattle here. Thnx Aaron! ❤

Don't expect to learn how to ollie in just one week guys. It takes a lot of practice and time. Have fun with it! Especially don't expect to learn all of these ollie's in just one week. Peace

Ngl it took me a month but once I did my first Ollie all of them clicked so it took me a month to do all of them but everyone should learn at their own pace
Would love to see more videos of new skaters learning this on your channel
You guys should have a "Build and Film Contest" where teams get 30 minutes to build a skate obstacle in the warehouse, one hour to film skating it, and put together a 60 second clip to be judged by the people.
Im 37 and just picked up the board again over lockdown. Skated a little as a teenager but never really committed. Determined to get better this time. Just did my first Ollie in 22 years! Feels great
Braille, your vids shows your love for skateboard endless , thank you for all the works you have done!
Thanks so much for the boot camp videos, Im a beginner and these videos have really been helpful❤

I really appreciate these videos. I'm almost 36 and I have wanted to learn my whole life. Now for my physical and mental health I am finally getting over my fears. Heights, speed, and getting hurt 😅 I'm glad these guys are here for encouragement and education! Skate or die my dudes!!
Watched Carlos all 4 stance hard flip tre flip yesterday while gabe nonchalantly yawns 😂
I’m working on my Ollies at pretty high speeds,on and off curbs and even a little 2 stair, I just downloaded your app on my phone, trying to get it all set up! Thanks for the help🙏🏻👊🏼😎
Awesome, looking forward to next week! Tip for beginniners: if your board is landing slightly to the left or right when you land your ollie, you can easily correct this by aiming slightly to the opposite direction just before popping your ollie. For example, my ollies pull to the left so when I land my board is aiming toward the left instead of straight ahead. I just aim a little to the right when I go to pop my ollie then it lands straight. Hope this helps someone out there!

I haven’t skated since I was 13yrs old, I’m 36yrs old and a disabled army veteran. Today I went to my local skate shop and bought my first board again. Within 5min I Ollie’d, I uploaded the clip on my channel. Great videos! They are helping, we didn’t have KZread back in the late 90’s early 2000’s and learning fresh again is a awesome new experience, I honestly don’t even think I could Ollie when I was 13yrs old, I’ll try on concrete when I’m ready and learn to just ride the board again
It keeps showing footage of a kickflip motion at 4:10 ?
Thankyou for this new video about ollie
Sometimes olling while moving seems easier than stationary, but something that i've realized has been helping me, is combining both, is like they complement each other (important to say i haven't fully learned the ollie yet)
This was so helpful!!! Ty
Dude, Braille's videos are so inspiring and make me wanna skate again. I am in my 30s and haven't skated since my teens. I stopped because I got discouraged not progressing anywhere but this step-by-step approach and awesome explanations are so great. I hope you get so many people into this cool sport! Much love!

This tutorial helped so much, I just landed my first ollie and did 4 in a row after.
Bro after practicing a lil bit, I'm doing rolling ollies over small objects. So stoked ..... It makes me want to practice a thousand times more! Speaking of which.. off I go lol
I did a small alley and I’m proud of it
I’ve had Ollie’s down for awhile but never tried it while moving so that’s my new goal
I just have a problem kicking out and my back foot going all over the place. Have any ideas how to fix that problem? Btw thanks for the video😁
I love you dude
I can ollie and ollie while moving and up a curb an down a curb and over a object so i can ollie anything i learnt it since this video came out and how because this video helped me on that day
Yo Aaron im trying really hard to Ollie but I need some tips please
Hey Braille! I keep initiating a small frontside turn (maybe 1/8) when ollieing, especially when rolling. Any tips to avoid that? Pretty spooky when landing likr that ngl
Cool

i feel like i'm better at rolling ollie's now so i don't know if i should practise them stationary or work on ollieing onto things
I love your videos your videos are beautiful you are a Skater thanks a lot lot lot
nice video
I broke my foot a year ago doing the simplest thing with my board, and now I keep chickening out of Ollies. I want to Ollie and I can do them perfectly fine on grass or if I’m holding on to something but I can’t bring myself to try and land them normally. I keep trying and I want to land it but every time I chicken out before I even pop. I’m comfortable riding with my board too. I feel like I’m caught in a mind game, what do I do?
Popping the board and the timing of the jump is the most important thing for a beginner.

When I Ollie I tend to rotate and I can't figure out how to stop it. I’ve been told that I’m throwing my shoulder. But, when I try not to throw my shoulder, the trick doesn’t feel comfortable and I can’t do the steps right. Any advice?
bros chill af
i think i need to practice more, i can ollie but when trying it over some object i cant focus my eyes on the object, if i dont look to the board i fail the ollie, but if i look to the board i fail the obstacle
I cant get the braille app it says its made for older versions of android
🔥
idk why but i love it so much when aaron kyro does the intro❤😁
I have a question about the pop. When you see people Ollie, it always seems that the foot never goes all the way to the floor like the practice step but stops a few inches before almost like it’s flicking the tail down rather than stepping down. Is this the case?
@ahmedhussain5515
Жыл бұрын
Yep, you're basically flicking it down with your ankles. When you push the tail down, right after you push it (milliseconds after) bring your backfoot up.
I want to see skateboarding in the gym with Andy Anderson. Like a series on exercise and fitness outside of skateboarding with the focus of becoming a better skater. Isn't one leg bigger than the other? Whats up with that?
Can any one help me, when I Ollie I grind the toe of my shoes rather than the side, what should I do differently? Thanks in advance

Quick thought. This might have been one of those awesome things to use a helmet cam for.

@josiahquintanilla
Жыл бұрын
Im a beginner learning how ollie myself but i had this problem and I think its about pushing your back foot downward into the tail and not back. Try standing off the board and just popping the tail down with your back foot a couple times to get the feel of snapping downwards for the pop

when i was a kid it took me two whole summers in my driveway attempting to ollie. after that i was hopping over curbs and onto manual blocks no problem. I put the board down for around ten years and although i dont have the ollie back yet, its on its way. Never give up and allow yourself to dream of yourself doing what you love. When you are awake take the time to be safe and progress at a safe pace and you will surprise yourself. Never give up. Our lives are forever. You have the time to get better.

@@Blah-blah-sure keep in mind, Dave mirra was and will always be a legend. His story in a nutshell is that after so much brain trauma the man with all of his glory ended up traumatized in a way that lead to his death by his own hand. With all due respect to a man I never met, his story from how i understand it tells of how even the most graceful birds wings are still delicate and have a lifespan all their own. You are the pigeon. You will never become the eagle if you do not protect your neck.
