Ok so adding, its kinda obvious this tool has not been tested to gas cylinder that's properly stuck on tilt mechanism; bottom rings grip aint enough to hold onto cylinder with force needed to pull stuck cylinder off the tilt mechanism

I'll wager this video was done on a factory-fresh chair that's not had 100KG sat on it for hours at a time for the last 5 years. So, don't watch past the first 20 seconds of this video because there's nothing else useful to see. The locking collar sldes down the strut as you wind it on, no matter how tight you clamp it. Instead get a really good friend (or someone you don't mind getting hurt) to hold the legs, or hook them over something, then take a 2lb hammer & strike the tilt base where it fits around the strut. 3 or 4 good hits should do it. If you have a deadblow hammer, even better, as it won't mark the paint. I'm not liable for any injuries or damage that occur from following these instructions because I'm an unqualified idiot. But that's how I did mine.

I don't know why people keep saying that, I weigh 130kg, well above the 100kg limit of my Epic, and this tool worked perfectly when not even some vice grips and a hammer could do the job. To be fair, the lift was quite scratched already, from my previous failed attempts with various tools, which may have provided extra grip, but I doubt it would matter that much.

Recieved today shorter gas lift, also stuck for a little bit, but I have few advices for you guys, plastic peaces from longer lift will not fit with shorter gas lift, there not enough space. So first of all remove wheels, put the seat in highest position, after put the lower part of gas lift on wooden plank and ask somebody to hold the chair, after smash with your hands to the wheel chair base, it's holds tightly so be patient take the rest and base will come out, so with your hands you will not scratch it, after apply scotch or insulating tape on the highest part of gas lift's rod there will be some symbols and words and start to punch with hammer, ask somebody to pull gas lift from the chair it's will be much easier for you, i'm not sure that your gas lift will stay fully workable after this but it's the fastest variant of disasembly with less demage for the rod, i punch about 10 times, but without tape because already scratched rod, from the beginning i tried to rotate the rod with plumber's wrench but it's unreal not to scratch it even with some insulation, also i tried to punch through the wood in part where gas lift holds so it's also have less chances for disassembly but it's safest variant not to damage the rod if you have workable one and want to save it. Gotta wonder if removal tool is bit soft; been trying to unmount seat base now with tool and screws do bite deep into upper rings casing

I was thinking about buying one but it's about 45 euros with shipping. Did you get your money back? It shouldn't be softer than the screws, obviously.

The chair is so hard to disassmble i just bought the new gas lift its arriving in a few days but it is so hard to just disassable it alone my frame cracked so i got a new one and now it is so hard to assemble it beacoause of the gas lift

I bought a replacement gas lift from your UK website (for my HERO) a couple of days ago as the original no longer worked. I have managed to remove from the wheel base, but it won't budge from the seat mechanism. The replacement didn't come with this tool though? How do I get it??

Save the money on the tool, it doesn't work. When its about the tilt mechanism, you better order tilt mechanism and a new lift. When you planned to replace only the lift...well, this tool doesn't work and only costs you money, lift is rock-solid connected to tilt mechanism

@@Michael-nn6nx the tool arrived today… yeah, didn’t work. The Allen keys are so soft both ends rounded off when tightening together. Gas cylinder still stuck in there!! :(

Update: I bought some new hex keys today and tried this removal tool again… it worked!! I did add some wd40 the day before and the weather was very hot today, so I think those things helped ease it out

@@JordanpUK Please can I ask where you got the tool from and which hex keys you bought? I have a replacement gas lift on the way and don't want to risk damaging my Hero. I know the old gas lift will be practically welded to the mount...

got sent one of these tools and a new gas lift, blooming thing keeps sliding on the shaft no matter how tight I put it... still stuck with a £400 chair that wont stay up!

How do i go about getting this tool? I got replacement tilt mechanism and was not able to take off the gas lift, please advise thanks

Interesting. I got also a replacement for the tilt mechanism today (as mine made very loud cracking noises whenever I moved), and the tool was included (in some little white paper box). Luckily I found this video as I had no idea what it is and they did not send any manual or link. But it worked as shown in the video, and I am happy that my chair is silant again :)

Too bad that the 2nd wont fit the shorter gas lift that you sell (5cm) because there is not enough room for the screws, touching dramaticly the plastic tube protection (piramid one). Meaning less distance to extract the tube. Therefore, another defect, when you are done tightening the screws the tube wont come, as a part of it is still inside, thanks to the first design mistake I was explaining.

@@caseking-mike9148 Had to use a hammer because the spanner and screws didnt worked. When tightened just pushes away the tool, not making the tube get out. But the replacement (noisy tilt mechanisim) now works fine. Silence once for all. Regards.

Ordered the tilt mechanism because of the mentioned problem and the removal tool, tried it 5 times but no way to disconnect the two parts. Bought it new for about 400 € just 2 1/2 years ago, now had to spend another 100 for the spare parts including delivery and couldnt fix the problem yet, just embarassing.

on that hammer way perhaps, balance wheelbase upside down on something with room to drop, then use rings as mounting point on top of shaft and give it good hammering

Hey @noblechairs, Please can you clarify if this tool is available? I cannot find it anywhere on your website and Overclockers UK say it is 'End of Life' (14 December 2023)... You still sell the replacement gas lifts and it seems all of your chairs still use the exactly the same gas lift...How come we can't get the tool?? I don't want to wreck a £700.00 chair for the sake of a £15.00 tool in order to change the gas lift! There are tons of social media posts about this being a nightmare to change and especially a major problem trying to get the lift out of the seat mechanism after a few years use (#stuckinlikeconcrete, #bondedtogether) so why the hell is this tool not available please???????? These are supposed to be "Premium Gaming Chairs" so why is the Customer Service NOT "Premium"? The after sales service is just as important as the original sale, supporting your customers is just as important as selling a quality product..

I am using this tool for the 6th time The gas do not move more than 1 mm. I made a mark and measured Any tips?

Wait, I didn't get a removal tool with my chair... and I tried hammers, and wrenches now to get it out.. nothing worked..

Hey Pawiie, you don't get it with your chair. You get it with the replacement gas lift if you have had any issues with the one you received with the chair.

Eigentlich ganz einfach in der Anwendung, trotzdem nervige Arbeit. So hat es bei mir gut funktioniert: Haltet euch genau an die Anleitung. Die „Stange“ im oberen Bereich unbedingt entfetten / sauber machen. Der erste Ring, der genau unter der Mechanik fest gemacht wird, nur handfest machen, so dass er sich noch leicht drehen kann. Denn diesen wollen wir ja noch oben drücken. Den zweiten Ring unter den ersten Ring setzen, die Löcher versetzt voneinander, da wir nicht in die Löcher wollen, sondern gegen das Metall schrauben wollen, um den Ring wegzudrücken nach oben. Wichtig: Den unteren zweiten Ring mit aller kraft so fest wie möglich anziehen! Der darf sich nicht mehr bewegen. Am Anfang geht das Hochdrücken schwer mit den Schrauben, wird aber leichter.

People reading this. Yeas I am heavy and if you are this tool ain't gonna cut it. The rocking mechanism was broken so I were going to change it anyway. I took a hammer and smashed the mechanism as hard as I could right next to were the gas cylinder goes in. It took about 20 good hits and the mechanism was mangled. But the gas cylinder got off and made it so that I could to my repair. Although before this I tried the rings 6 times and a friend brought a pipe wrench but we didn't get it of and he is strong like an ox and so we might have made it a bit easier for the hammer.

Muss man den Support anschreiben kostet ca 35 eur. Funktioniert aber leider solala gut. Zum lockern ok, aber so wie im Video hat es bisher nie geklappt

You remove the cylinder the same way you assembled it, but the other way around. And this video is an explanation of how to remove the cylinder from the tilt mechanism with the tool.

Gotta replacement mechanics and also this removal tool. It is a JOKE! It will never work liked shown in this video. The ring that pushes against the other is just sliding over the cylinder. Nitroconcepts X1000 trash bin after one year...thanks

this tool is rubbish and does not work! This is also the last time I gave Noble Chairs a chance. 2 times frame break and now the spring on a $400 chair is broken after a year. What a piece of junk. I'll never buy anything from Caseking again, which owns this junk brand.
