The best foot forward is often the one where you give value to the person you're trying to network with. If you can offer something to their lives then you'll have a far better chance

If they had an app like Tinder but for music artists and producers that would be great.

you're not able to network with the biggest names in the industry unless you're already up there yourself. and if you're already up there you're not watching this. the ones you mention are probably exceptions, there's always gonna be a few exceptions to the rule. in general you can only expect to be able to connect with people that's roughly on the same career level as yourself, don't be fooled into thinking there are easy ways.

Great vid as always guys. I've found I've made some great connections by doing favours for other musicians from sharing music to commenting friendly replies on their posts

I disagree. Reddit is often awful and arbitrary. Maybe I just dont get it but theres some toxic people there for sure.

There's definitely some people that you won't get on with but it's like that on all platforms. Perhaps explore the subreddits more until you find your niche

dude, welcome to internet, but in my exp. reddit is less toxic than facebook and instagram, each subreddit has moderators and rules, if you go a subrredit with an active community and you treat people with respect and arguments you toxic people wouldnt be a problem. In all places there are toxic people, dont take anything personal if you are a musician, otherwise it will be a tough journey.

@@carlossantiago2659 I find some of the rules on reddit to be rather irritating. The amount of times I've had posts rejected because I've put in the wrong type of bracket or accidentally not quite followed their criteria is actually pretty embarrassing haha. Trying to post on some sub reddits feels like I'm referencing an academic paper at times haha
