Hey!!! Great information!!! I had one question though. Do we give a strong reason to convince the employers to increase the salary package or do they assign more responsibilities if they agree to increase the base amount? Strong reason as in our capacity to work matching with our skills. For example: if I want an increment in my base amount, do I promise them more productivity or input then decided or is it simple negotiation without any assurance? Waiting for the reply.

Superb episode. Loved it. I would say place this in a playlist. This video will be helping me after a year or 2 so i saved it in my important playlist. Hi Yudi, since I lived and worked all my life in india, i have a question. Like in India almost all private companies give an annual pay hike to all the employees, (this is given out post the end of financial year in the month of April) and this could be anything from 1% to 8%-10%. Do US companies also give an annual pay hike following the annual appraisal of the employees performance.

First find out if they actually send out people if they do then may be. Its going to be way harder to negotiate on that as lot of time offshore companies don't have control over visa.

I have worked for several large companies over the years. I retired 12 + years ago. The last company I worked for I spent 6 months in the negotiation phase before I joined them. They had good benefits and they had a progressive benefit plan as well as stock buy in after 6 months. The salary was above the average for my position. I checked with some of their employees before accepting their offer. It was the best decision I ever made. When I retired, I was set financially for a comfortable life for my wife and me. My advice when looking for a company to join is know how they treat their workers, check the growth in the last 5 years, what is the track record in employee turnover. Make sure the benefit package meets your needs. Make sure you know what you are worth and that you can do the job before applying.
