You can scan amiibo cards on the right stick on the switch lite. You do not need to buy a pro controller or separate joycons.. this is a very important point not illustrated in the video which can be slightly misleading

A tip about find them that I would suggest is go to a Target if they're local Nintendo and Target seem to have a little agreement with amiibo cards and if you're lucky around half of times you'll go there there will be at least one amiibo card pack I would suggest if you're planning on getting more in the future get around 3 packs so far I have gotten four because the first time I went there was only one card pack on the shelf and I really gotten to duplicates both from the first pack I got

Excellent video! Quick, simple and easy to understand. I never knew what Amiibo was. Now I totally get why it's an important part of gameplay.

Would be worth noting Nintendo switch lite also has nfc capabilities as I was looking it up. And it'd be located on the right stick.

Fake ones can also work. the game doesn’t detect fakes because it’s an nfc tag not a software

I had the 3rd party animal crossing controller. I switched controllers and it worked. Thank you for mentioning that! Saved me a ton!

If you look at most third-party controllers made by Hori they have NFC support! the switch light even has NFC support your joy cons have NFC support and the pro controller has NFC support you don’t spend $90 on a pro controller to get NFC support

I admit I got that game mostly for the Amiibo. Though, admittedly it's not as "terrible" a game as some say. It's just a very simple board game, so don't expect "Mario Party."

I have the Sanrio cards but they aren’t working, they used to work then I put them somewhere and now they wont work to Invite someone to the Cafe

I’m new to amiibo cards. I’ve had the game since it came out but was never really interested in amiibo cards. I recently started wanting to get some, I just don’t want to buy them yet without knowing exactly what they do. Are they reusable? If I use one to invite a villager to move into my island can my sister use the same card for her game? If I invite cj or flick, someone like that, can I sell them stuff? Or buy stuff from other characters like Sahara? Will the characters that you invite over walk around on your island or do they only stay in the campsite?

They are reusable. In fact, you have to invite NPC villagers 3 times/days (and build them an item they request) in order to invite them to your town. As for special villagers, (such as Isabelle, Tortimer, Resetti, Nook, Mabel, ect.) I'm not sure, but so far I can only invite the ones I have to the cafe. I'll have to look up what else they do.

I'm still bitter pirate Gulliver doesn't have a card

can’t you pick which character to kick out of the island if you use an amiibo to invite a character?

Question, do I need to have certain locations on acnh to redeem the amiibo bcuz I'm still working on upgrading my residents service

Regular villagers do not add in special furniture for you to buy

Also can confirm works on the switch lite including with the joy stick caps on it reads them just fine

Yes it works just fine. The nfc scanner is located in the right joystick. Hover the card over the stick and they should scan in. It's a good idea to use the amiibo icon at the back of the card as an indicator of where the nfc chip is so you know the correct section is hovering over the right joystick to be scanned. Hope this is helpful.

I have a question which I can't seem to express correctly for the Google folks. Can I buy a cartridge for acnh while having acnh installed directly into my lite? Wondering if the main character can then fly to each other's island on one system. Too expensive to experiment with so I thought I'd ask a human more brillianter sounding than me. I just want cherries. Seems ridiculous now that I've written it out.

If you have a digital copy of ACNH on your switch and you insert an ACNH cartridge, you’ll only be able to play on the one same island. This is because Nintendo locks one island per switch, even if technically you’re using two copies of the game.

If you buy a flipper zero when they are in stock for about 170$ you can download a file so you can get every amiibo for every games so you don’t have to waste your money on the amiibos but do not buy if you don’t know how to code😊

A lot of people like the npc cards because if you scan them into happy home paradise, you can actually design homes for them. But if you don’t have the hhp dlc, there’s not much you can do with them.
