This math totally checks out! It's the same method I use to calculate how big trout are. Like I always say... "never head into the backcountry without a calculator " Great video!

I've used the equation to calculate fish too. It must be accurate because according to the equation, I've never caught a trout under 16 inches ha ha!

Enjoyed this video! It is cool to see what you can get done with a winch! I also enjoyed how you added the calculations to your video. That will save some contractor fees!

Yeah, it would not have been my first thought on how to move boulders....but hey, it worked!

I forgot... I did use my winch to fell a 70 foot pine tree in my neighbor's yard this summer. Worked like a charm. It fell in the exact location I wanted it to!

Your humor in each video, but in particular this one…was really good. 😂😂😂 loved all the math in the intro…was dying laughing at what the contractors use. My brother owns a landscape company so I’ll be sure to share this with him. 👍🏻

That was definitely a fun video to make glad someone else enjoys a little math humor now and then ha ha!

Secured my front yard pine before felling… used it to pull down the scary leaning bits. Worked like a charm! I’d strongly consider a winch with hitch mount for my runner one day… and a front hitch… I’d like a plow vehicle in winter and which point in summer :) cheers!

Oh smart to use the winch felling a tree! I like the idea of a hitch-mount winch as well.

Factoid for the day: The reference to Archimedes is on point for the double-line winch pull you did. In addition to the many mathematical accomplishments of Archimedes, he also designed some innovative machines using compound pulleys! So, your double-line pull using a pulley for mechanical advantage is something Archimedes would have liked.
