How to move electric auto seat

Working on a car that no longer has the ability to power the seats to move them back and forth in order to be able to remove the seat. Using a battery from a cordless drill and 2 wires I track down the wires under the seat that lead to the motors that move the seats up/down/forward/back/etc. Car is a wrecked 2003 Mercedes S500. Sorry for the poor quality video and me repeating the same things over and over. Enjoy!

Thank you so much! This helped my wife and I tremendously! Our RV driver's seat is power and it quit working. We checked the fuses took the chair apart and then came across your video. Wow what a lifesaver! Now I don't have to drive with my knees in the dash until we get it fixed.

Do you know if it would work even if my motor makes a sound but won’t go forward or backwards?

Freaking genius! Can you do a video finding the motor to move seat back and forth? I've the same problem of trying to access the seat bolts.

Anyway this would work to test like the heated seat function even works on a car with no engine n junk yard? Could u use pos/neg terminal wire under hook like hooked to a portable jump starter and still get aux/ ignition power?

I tried doing this with a 2019 mustang gt seat cars crushed . It started to work for 3-4 seconds then now it doesn’t do anything . I’m stuck of what to do now . I was also using a everstart small battery booster

I bought a very nice interior for a BMW I hope to own one day. It's the Coral Red/Dakota Black for the BMW E92(s) Series Cars. It's for any BMW 3 Series Coupe Vehicle built from 2007-2013. I got a really good deal on it but like an idiot I forget to ask the seller if all the power seat functions work correctly. Could you explain to me how to test the seats if I don't yet own/have the car they go into?? I would much appreciate it. The seller was a local BMW Enthusiast so I don't think they have issues because he would of told me. He was able to get it out of the car with power but it's been 3-4 years so I really need to know if these seats 100% work how they should. If not I can fix them much easier with the interior all out the car. There is no way of contacting the seller anymore anymore because he isn't active on Social Media. Is there a way to do what you did here on this video with some kind of store bought wire(s) so I don't have to rig up the pins and what not??

Are you bypassing the module and powering the motor directly?
