I noticed that in order to do it correctly like he did, the tip of ur toe must be able to support ur weight in order to slide ur other foot.

He was taught back slide ..but he added hands ,head movements and ofcourse enhanced moonwalk by sliding in a smooth way

It IS the back slide. When they were first filming Michael Jackson doing the ACTUAL MOON WALK (gliding), he transitioned into a back slide. Those that were filming asked what that move was called and he replied with the moon walk because that is what he had thought they had meant.

if you've not got a smooth surface then try lifting your sliding foot a tiny bit off the ground so that it's not touching so you're 'sliding on air' instead, but keep as low to the ground as possible.

I didn’t know I needed this in 2020...

I love dancemoves that are basically an 'optical illusion', the moonwalk is still the king of those moves! x)

how to moonwalk.. i know its repeated too many times.. but.. 1.go to the moon 2.stand with your rear heel lifted up and front foot ready to slide back. 3. slide front feet back as video suggests 4. once you slid the leading foot back, do a quick switch between the raised heel foot and the sliding flat foot. 5.repeat few times and there u have it 🖕

Instructions weren't clear enough, I am now in a Chinese doll factory.
