HOW TO MOISTURIZE 4C LOW POROSITY HAIR | Maximum hydration & retain moisture for Days
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
NATURAL HAIR CALENDAR AVAILABLE HERE www.afrikancuriosity.co.za
This is a detailed video on how to determine your #hairtype and #hairporosity . Then how to moisturize your #natural4chair correctly and how to retain moisture and growth. I know winter is approaching and some of you still don’t know how to moisturize or retain length, I used #alovera because that helps grow my hair.
So I hope this helps and please keep sane during this global #lockdown.

Way to go. Finally somebody explaining the porosity in a language that I understand!
It’s so great to see black women enjoying and celebrating our hair. Started my natural hair journey last year. I am now fully natural with absolutely no regrets. I am loving my natural hair. Went natural 20 years ago for 8 years but couldn’t maintain it. Back then there weren’t so many videos on black hair care. I appreciate these videos so very much.

Beautiful, beautiful woman and gorgeous, gorgeous hair! I have high porosity hair and know how to care for it but I couldn’t figure out why the same products weren’t working for my daughter’s hair until I figured out she has low porosity hair! Now, I only use products without protein and focus on moisture and wash her hair with a gentle shampoo to lift the cuticle. To moisturize her hair, I use the LGCO method to twist and style her hair: liquid, gel, cream, oil. I use water, Kinky Curly Custard, my homemade creamy protein free leave-in, and organic palm oil. Her hair stays moisturized until the next wash day. Thank you for sharing what works for you: your twists are so juicy and healthy 🤩🤩🤩!

Great video. Loved the way you explained porosity and finally I realize I'm a low porosity. Can Iask that you do a full week video showing us what and how you take care of your hair? My hair is extremely dry and coarse. I now apply store bought aloe vera juice and add a few oils etc which assist in keeping it moisture. However, it seems I have to do this everyday, which is time consuming. I would also appreciate a video of how you deal with those single strand knots.
@tshidiradebe

Now these are responses I live for 🥺. Thank you MP, I will upload a video next week, showing y’all how I take care of my hair during the week, how I moisturize midweek etc... When coming to dryness: I suggest that use products that are water based, also, how are you moisturizing your hair? Are you using the loc or LCO or loco method? If your hair is extremely dry I think we need to look at how often do you deep condition and are you using a moisturizing deep conditioner? Also, I think you could invest in either a very hydrating shampoo or just move to co- washing. And Lastly, I think getting a hand held steamer could really work for you 🤔 And I will also work on a video that shows how I deal with still strand knots, thank you for two video suggestions ♥️

Thank you so much, Shea butter is my go to for almost everything. Pro tip- refresh your twists every three weeks, to avoid hectic frizzing and locking. If you wait to too long, you become inpatient when taking them down because they are all tangled and all 😊. I will, in the near future 😊

Lmao lol 😂 it’s okay, some people are better off not knowing which porosity they are because once they know, they start doing too much so it’s okay. Did you find out if you are low porosity or high? Fun fact: if you have 4c hair, the likelihood of you being Low porosity is high because most people naturally have low porosity hair. At sometimes, high porosity is due to using too much heat on your hair etc, then it changes from low to high 💁🏽♀️. I hope this makes sense😊
