How to Modify a Car Correctly

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This 2013 Jetta GLI is a good way to have a refined, quiet driving experience that can slay corners, and not break the bank. It's also a good lesson in how improving every part of a car, evenly, leads to a driving experience on par with cars MUCH more expensive. MOD LIST BELOW!

She gave me zero problems (picked it up at 40k from a VW dealer in 2014 traded it in 2016 for a mk7 GTi) in that entire time. I did my own carbon cleaning around 80k at home. Had it tuned within the 1st thousand miles of ownership all the way up through when I sold her still running perfectly. I miss that car a TON and may buy another one next year as my daily. My now wife still misses that car as well lol, everyone likes to give me grief for letting my beloved Sylvia go haha. Great car if you're looking for a wonderful daily to eat up the miles. Took many long trips, I miss that. Tuned with the DSG also tuned had EXCELLENT highway power characteristics. This time I'll buy a manual (that was actually my first non manual car, but I wanted to try out a dual clutch car and still has a mk3 manual for when I needed to shift it myself) and just upgrade the clutch.

Zack, I appreciate your efforts but may I suggest something: If you have an owner who does not contribute to the conversation like in this video, dont force yourself to keep talking. 21 Minutes is a lot of time to cover the most important aspects of a car, especially if you are the only one talking. Dont overdo it, so it turns into rambling. You even lost track of what you were saying yourself because of it. Be concise - and if there is no extra input from the owner, so be it.

Yes, pre-facelift. VW introduced an engine variant mid-2013 which produced 10 more HP from the factory. But, a k04 upgrade, which was probably the best upgrade you could get for the mk6 platform power-to-cost, could no longer fit with the variant engine.

These things could almost be a RS3, that's why volkswagen will never put AWD drive in them, and they keep making them cheaper and cheaper. If they would have kept with this kind of quality and AWD, you could have slapped a good tune, turbo, and suspension and saved yourself tons of money buying a RS3.
