Great tutorial Alex. I've been at the bench for 10+ years and love to find new ways to make my peg better. Recently I added a brass insert to the right hand side of my peg to hold rings while I file the interior after soldering a sizing. Tricky to get the geometry right but that keeps it interesting. Thanks for all the tips. I'll try a few on my next one. Thanks. I especially like your advice about not being precious about peg. It's a consumable, but it can be hard to find the time to make a new one.

Great video but it would make life easier if you Americans converted to metric. Yes I am old school Australian and understand imperial but metric is so much better. Anyway I will be modifying my bench peg to this design as it will suit how I work.

It takes a short while to craft but saves a lot of time and potential wear on joints. Seems like customizing your bench pin to your specific needs is a no brainer.
