how to mix roll and yaw to turn and roll
Wanted to take some time to talk about how roll and yaw mix together to affect turning and rolling your drone. This is a fairly basic concept but I wanted to get into the details of it so that we have a foundation for some of the tricks I want to do tutorials on in the future.

P.S. sorry for the wind noise. I'll get a more wind-resistant mic soon.

Some times you just have to hit that gap no matter how nasty it looks. #cruisingflow
More of this. Stick cam plus narration of what you are doing. Super helpful for those of us that are still figuring this out. Loved the last Rotor vid. Seeing your flying style back to back with the Rotor crew was sweet. Your style really stands out.

Skitzo+MattyStuntz=LeDrib unlike racing its kinda hard to judge freestyle but my opinion your at the top of your game. we all know who most consider "the best" but imo your style is more aesthetic & visually pleasant. hats off sir

Tygas Death i honestly like his better than Mr steele. More flow
Hey Le Drib, Yesterday was the second time i ve ever flown a acro quad it's pretty amazing. I've been flying DJI Spark type drone for about 3 years which is enjoyable, but nothing like flying my new acro quads. You are the one whom got me interested in this hobby (THANK YOU BROTHER) and i appreciate the awesome content which helps me be a better pilot. Thanks bro!
I appreciate you guys that actually show how you are moving the joysticks to do those tricks. Some people don't and it is NOT helpful at all. Is that Dave's Smokin' BBQ? I love that place... they give you a shit ton of food!!
Drew, just starting out but took this advice to the simulator and you have helped me step up my game immensely. Hope you are enjoying Europe!
I had alot of stick time this weekend, and it almost felt like i was stuck on a certain flying style. I simple couldnt think of anything to try to change things up. Im so glad you posted this, so now i can rest and think about how im going to hit the sticks tomorrow.

I know what you mean, sometimes it's easy to get stuck in the same rhythm. That makes me so happy if I've been able to help get you trying new flows :)
Good video Drew! I like that you explain the advanced basics of flying quads. Keep it up with the video's.
Thanks for breaking it down so well! This might be one of my fav freestyle info filled vlog I've watched so far!
even though i feel like i learned all this, a little bit of a reminder always helps. i've been drifting through turns quite frequently recently and need to practice this a lot more.
YOU daredevil, the reverse trew the building...the gap between building and tree....GODLIKE !
Awesome Drew! You said this was coming out. Thanks for sharing the cross coordination as I had not thought about that one performing tricks. And that backwards flying out of the atrium was just sick! 👍🏼
I've subscribed today. I saw a Rotor Riot video were the guys were giving you stick for crashing a lot, but I can see you're pushing to see what will happen. Checking gaps at 60mph! You've helped me understand a few things, and I think you're better at explaining things to new people like me than you realise.
Man, you know how to entertain fellow pilots! Beau travail!
Finally a great descriptive video about roll and yaw for newbies like me. Great job!
Nice move inside the foyer of the building! Enjoy your content and have for a year or more now! Thank you for all your videos!
Great tutorial ...Now I need to practice the lesson ...Thanks Drew !!
You are a good instructor. Love the "stick cam."
i love your sense of humor about the whole thing. i learn and laugh
Your trick tutorials are the best, bud. Thx for posting.
Drib maybe my number one source of info when it comes to this hobby. Thank you sir!!
Found you video and very helpful. 30 degrees, yeah that’s the ticket....explains a lot. Thanks. Don
As a lot of these comments have said, you have great style in how you fly, a smoothness about it. If you don't already have a video out on how to fly smoother, maybe something to think about.
Thanks for sharing. Your perspective and explanation really helped me out. :) ...and that part around 14:57 rocking forwards and backwards under that building was AWESOME imo. I replayed that several times.
Dude ... What madness that sequence of entry and exit in the building after 11:57
Great videos man! I think the way you explain things will really help! Thanks a Million Bud!
Loved that barrel roll into the courtyard and the "matty backout" you did lol
What a crazy holeshot at 13:15!!! Thought you were gonna come out on the right, and then you just keep it goin! Very cool! 👏
Damn drib your flying has changed so much since this video! Good stuff man love these videos
Drew-what you did from 11:54 to about 12:04, pretty freaking awesome. It was a very nice move, smooth, elegant. This is an exceptional video.

"That's just the character of your style"...
Always enjoy these type of vids. I've an inckling that using this kind of mixing results in a kind of "tick tacking" movement of the quad from side to side. Johnny fpv uses it alot inbetween tricks, and consequently to set up a trick. Been trying to get it down for a couple of weeks now to no avail. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work on your channel, its a valuable resource to many of us.
Great demonstration and very simple to understand! Thanks a lot!!! Cheers:-)
Had a lot of fun watching this one while uploading and exporting my latest ones :) Thanks for the tips, I've been working on yaw spins lately and mixing more yaw into tricks - loving your content. peace and #propsup
Thanks Drew that was useful and fun..nice job on the tree recovery.
Good stuff dude! Your flying has gotten a lot better.
The last flight was epic, a lot of flow!!
great flying, so smooth
Your video editing is phenomenal
This is exactly what I'm looking for how to perform tricks More of this please
Awesome video Drew! Stick cam is always great to watch!

Another great Video, Thanks for the tips, I really enjoy your style, getting some of that backwards flight in there : )
Thank you so much for this video. I'm really new to this. Still need to get a quad kinda new. But I've been trying to fly on the DRL sim. Wasn't having a lot of success. But for some reason the way you explain everything made it click. I was actually able to be able to do what I wanted and not just moving the sticks to see what would happen.

you take the term "flying through trees"to another level my friend!
I've been struggling using dji fpv sim just trying to make banked turns without losing control. Good video.
that backwards flight..... awesome.
wow amazing flying!!!!!.....and great tips
reverse punch.. I believe that's whats it could.. that would make an awesome tutorial vid. Learned the 'Matty Flip' from your channel. Keep up the good work. Always thumbs up your vids!

Thanks drib, great video again
Great explanation. The BMSweb guys did a video on this a while ago, Thomas called it Inverse Yaw.
I am trying to graduate from Horizon to Acro and this makes total sense to me. I can fly Acro LOS but the angle was killing me in FPV. GREAT post!

LMAO Drew! Evan just informed me what that thump was at the end of the video. And again another great tutorial!
Thanks for the help I am going to try this today
Eres uno de los mejores compañero Felicidades
didn't think I would learn anything, then I did. Nice one.
Thank you very much! Great effort!
I've been thinking about this bc I need to improve my rolls and split S's. Of course, I had to turn to my fave pilot for a tutorial. 🤣 Nice vid as usual! 👍
thanks for video, im a newbie this is very helpful for me
Liking these trick vids keep em coming
Drew I love your flying style!!! Come to Ontario and rip some packs in Canada!!!
Thanks for this info! As another spektrum user: What are your Dual Rate & Expo settings?
I love the way you crash the drone and just simply continue the tutorial. Thanks for the demonstration, I hope your drone is back in the air.

Nice video I hope when I get my quad I could learn to fly like you 😀
Thanks. Love the videos. Keep them coming.
Best advice I've heard.
Great instruction. Thank you!
The only one I didn't see you talk about was using both roll and yaw in the same direction to do what looks like a strange roll thats really more like a fast flat spin while going in fast forward flight. Great video.

Thank you for the food for thought. 😎
Damn, love watching you fly. I'm working on it man just don't have that much time with work and kids:) I'd like to see what your PIDS look like on that quad. I have some I have been using with the same style frame and like them but always looking for something different.
