I remember a long time ago I saw a technique that involved twisting the egg up in a shirt or cloth and pulling both ends of the cloth to make it spin/mix. Definitely a cheaper option but might create an egg slingshot by accident.

Place the egg in the middle of cloth. Roll the cloth. No you have tortilla-like folded cloth with the egg in the middle. Grab the opposite ends of cloth in each hand. Start to spin it by doing circles with your wrists. Stop and pull the cloth apart. That'll suddenly stop the spinning. Start to do circles in the other direction. Stop. Pull apart. Repeat few times. Now you have mixed egg.

you can also do this by getting a full sleeve shirt and putting the egg in the sleeve, tying off both ends, grabbing the sleeve from the two ends like a handlebar and then spinning it around. Once it's spinning pretty fast, just pull both ends away from the center and the egg will spin the other way to unravel the sleeve. It is in effect the same idea, just along a different axis.

Kidding she gave it to me ). I bent the pin. After which I had an in shell mixer. All I had to do was poke a hole in the TOP of the shell, insert the 'mixer blade', and let it rip for about ten seconds. I was to cheap to buy lead free solder though. The lead 'never' came into contact with the egg. Oh yeah, I had an old art deco looking Sunbeam egg poacher. If I had a syringe I probably would have injected some flavor into them.

I remember a device from around 20 years ago that was handheld and it did this but it had a spike on it that punctured the egg shell.

It's a bit like how low-pressure areas are form in the temperate zone. Different air movement ion the north and the south meeting each other and the result is that swirly pattern in between.

While this device is cool to see in action, it's better for us to eat our yolks runny rather than mixed up. Over easy is better for us than scrambled for example. I learned that while researching the carnivore diet. And my husband bought a FLIR thermal device like the one showed in your vid and it's awesome for finding warm/cold spots in our house so he knows where to add insulation. Very much worth the investment as we'll save on energy costs!

I am sure this experiences will contribute immensely to the Theory of everything and fluid dynamics can explain the Big Bang maybe 13.8 billion years ago our universe was nothing but a huge fluid. I'm not being absolutely serious, just lighthearted... Overall, I enjoyed the video, although at times I wonder if we may be overly focused on rationalizing scientific theories to the point where we lose sight of the real-world issues that they are meant to address. But I like to learn new things with the Action Lab 😉😉😄😄

And maybe, along with this line of reasoning, it could possibly offer clues in order to propose answers to the deep philisophical questions of: "What came first; the chicken or the egg?"... and "Why the chicken crossed the road?" *Edit: Gramma.

I don't know why but I always thought I COULD mix an egg by shaking it vigorously. Never tried, but logically it made sense. Huh

"So you can have hard-boiled eggs with no yolk." Well there's your first complication: you still HAVE a yolk! Just because the yolk is mixed in with the white doesn't mean it has somehow "disappeared"!

I'd have say the main use would be to spin/mix them before making a cake. It makes things easier but then I would have put everything in the mixer which is faster 😂 Well the thermo camera would be useful to help with insulating my place.
