So I have the dmx 905s, and have followed your directions to the letter, and I get audio but no video? I also don't see anywhere to switch the AV IN signal to usb1? Does this not work with that particular head unit?

I get distorted video and only a left channel sound output. Your amazon link to the 3.5 adapter shows to be out of stock. It has been for some time. So I ordered another elsewhere. What’s the differences in these cables? I can get audio on both channels on this connector if I plug the right channel into the yellow video plug. I get a video signal but it is distorted heavily.

Do you know if a Kenwood DMX47S can be set up to screen mirror a Iphone 12 pro max? The radio does not have any RCA inputs except for a camera input. It does have an AV in that has the 4 pin head phone jack style connector (Female). I already have the HDMI to lightning adaptor to get it off the phone, just need to know if this radio even has the ability to do this before I spend more money. I have a dnx6980 someone gave me for my 96 mustang gt...its old obviously lol but i dont wanna spend to much on it cause its a race xar and doesnt need high end stuff like in my other cars.. is there a way to hook a aux port up to play music from youe phone on it. Says it has Bluetooth but only lets me hook up to it with phone calls... also says it has pandora but i dont know how thay works either lol but it be mice to just play music from my phone

could you give me a link to the android version? ddx9703s - samsung galaxy 5s with MHL or Moto G4 with NO MHL. getting really frustrated.........what am I missing? i went to the list of phones and the samsung does not seem to need the special adapter - but what DOES it need? just cable from phone to HDMI input that was installed when the radio was installed. does the phone mirroring work (if I ever get it to work) while the car is moving? or does it have to be parked. do the google maps and waze become disabled if I use the mirroring? (android auto features which currently DO work for me).

Looking to add a 1500rms sub amp to a double 10" box, do you think I need to add another battery to this setup or will the existing factory battery be sufficient? M Henry no you should be ok. We use the PAC lp7-2 when we do that car.

Sir, I have a Kenwood DDX7017 It has 2 video inputs. when i hook up adapter and then connect lightning adapter to Iphone I only get audio I can not get any video. any suggestions ? Do i need and adapter that actually powers the AV to HDMI device. Thanks.

Sabir Baksh sand a 1" square free of paint. Bolt the amp ground down. Don't use the seat bolt. Make sure to check under where you are going to ground the amp.

hectik5010 the quick answer is no. But it can be done. This radio does not have Android Auto but the method we show in the radio used on a 9903 will work. The radios with onboard HDIM will not pass video out to the rear screen. The copy protection is the reason

I have an Iphone6, and a Kenwood DDX24BT installed in a Sonata 2011 Hyundai. What is my best option for getting my Iphone to mirror on my Kenwood monitor? Would you suggest the route you detail in this video? Or should I use CarPlay, as you detail in another video? Is CarPlay an option for me since I only have Iphone 6? Also, based on videos i've seen Kenwood introduced "smarthphone integration" in 2014 whereby I phones would mirror simply through their bluetooth connection. What happened to that technology? hey this is a little off topic but how do you wire your pioneer nex to mirror your phone if you car has a 6 speed transmission so it does not have a "park gear"

Five Star Car Stereo I got a 4200 in the mail right now I ordered the 3 wire bypass switch ( I found an older video of yours) but I did not buy the hdmi peice to mirror my phone as I wanted to save some money. I have an galaxy s7 edge BTW

That Guy the bypass will unlock the radio. A Miracast dongle plugged into the hdmi will allow you to do screen sharing.

I don’t have an owners manual for radio so how get & make & answer phone calls over radio kenwood in 2008 Jeep Wrangler

I have DDX9703 Kenwood stereo with HDMI port, So if i plug an HDMI Android TV stick will my Stereo, So the touchscreen will remain or it will act as only monitor to the ANDROID HDMI Stick. I was about to use the touch screen to operate the Android TV Stick.

Meenatchi Sundram Pathi if you live in the US it will just be a monitor. If you live outside the US,and get the Kenwood Miracast dongle, you can touch the screen.

Richard McRichardson that radio does not have full iDatalink Maestro capabilities

Will this cable setup work with a DNX9960?Also, is there a hack to restore the Navigation Maps? The unit crapped all the detailed maps data when the battery died. Kenwood says to mail it in, 4-5 week turn around.

Vincent Green yeah this is more for videos, but we just try to cover all the options.

It's kind of funny how with the older iPhones and Kenwood radios you was able to control you functions with the Kenwood iPhone adapter cable but now even with these extra cables you can't do that any more! The newer phones now are a bunch of garbage. And the Androids are following suit. But nice video.

I honestly don't know why most people just don't go with tablet installs instead of buying a $400 radio you can buy a $50 tablet that will do all of this and more with minimal effort

$100 in cables upon cables just to get an extra inch or two of monitor and lose your car stereo? You need to keep your eyes on the road and and if your eyes are that bad, you shouldn’t be driving anyway Pointless, thanks Kenwood!
