Want to find your very own quartz crystals? Visit our public quartz dig at Fisher Mountain! Just purchase mining permits at 11 Logan Gap Road, Mount Ida, Arkansas 71957 - the cost is $25 each for adults, $20 each for seniors, $10 each for children 7-15 and children under 7 are free. Currently our hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday (weather permitting), but soon we'll be open seven days a week!

How are you guys cleaning your smoky quartz? I’ve tried everything and acid. I’m now trying whink. What do you guys recommend?
Nice pocket. I am wondering what it looked like before you dug into it. Like what signs you saw to tell you what direction to dig where to dig n so forth. Great video and maybe one day I can come out there to dig. Little far for me being on the east coast

The miners certainly have a gift! They seem to have an intuitive knowledge of how geological processes have shaped an area, and where the most productive pockets are likely to be. We recently started a public quartz crystal dig at Fisher Mountain (the address is 11 Logan Gap Road, Mount Ida, Arkansas 71957). It's currently open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, but we plan to be open 7 days a week in the near future. We also offer private pocket digs at both Fisher Mountain and Hamilton Hill (the location in this video). Just email us at avantmining@gmail.com if you'd like more details!
