Can I just put a huge THANK YOU right here?!? Seriously, your video was SO helpful! I have very thick hair that has been a pain all my life. I love curls but I could never seem to get the hang of it no matter what method I've tried (and believe me, I think I've literally tried everything). I've been experiencing with foam rollers again, but for the life of me I just couldn't get it to work. I have been googling for a month straight, desperate to find an instructional video that not only shows me the step-by-step process, but also explains what to do, what not to do, and that also breaks down the various types of curls you can get so that I know how to roll for the look I want. Your video is the godsend I've needed! You also have a great personality that made it very fun and enjoyable to watch. So again: THANK YOU!!! :)

She has the BEST TUTORIALS! She always explains everything so well, and always makes it easy to understand. She the best! Love her!
While watching your video, I realized I do everything you said not to do. Did the right way last night, looks better. I love foams, easy to sleep in, fast comb out in the morning and off I go. Thank you so much, I learned more from you than from all the women I ever met in my life. Sincerely, I learned a ton from this video. You're talented.
I used to sit on the bed and watch my grandmother roll her hair. She did it fast and with out a mirror! Try as I might I could never put curlers in my hair it would tangle not curl she would just laugh and take them out for me. My grandmother passed away in July. My mom gave me her rollers (the hard plastic kind). I have watched this video & The brush out one over and over. today I will finally get curls not tangles...I hope

my gran curled her hair too ive got foam rollers and hard rollers like she had my gran has passed away too, she loved her make up as well I take after her that way xx
Im grateful to you because I've tried doing sets for forever only for them to fail! I will have to try this method soon next wash day !
I just found your channel a few days ago, and I am having the most fun watching you do these retro styles; It brings back so may memories of my mom, just love it and want to play around with it myself. I must also say you are a great teacher and give wonderful instructions, Thanks so much.
I just wanted to say you are one of the best hair tutorial channels I have found so far! I recently found an old photograph of my grandmother from the 40s and I been obsessed with learning this eras beauty! You have made it so easy and fun for me :). You are such a cute person and I love watching! Keep it up!!!!
This is seriously THE BEST foam rolling tutorial on youtube! I now see everything I've been doing wrong and why I generally don't like my foam roller sets. I will definitely try my foam rollers again with all your tips and tricks...hopefully I will have a more successful set :)
The memories this brings back! My mom used to roll her hair almost every night, in hard plastic rollers. I have no idea how she slept in them. I’ve recently started using foam rollers again and I follow your tips. I have good results almost every time. Call me old school but I think these foam rollers work better than pillow rollers or flexirods. I don’t have enough hair to try the big satin tube the people on TikTok are using so I can’t speak to that method. I will say that dividing and curling your hair this way gets easier the more you do it. Muscle memory kicks in and you can do it half asleep. 😂
just put in my foam rollers for the first time!! thank you for this huge help. I can't wait to see my hair when it comes out!
Great teacher for newbies. Iv been setting my hair vintage style for a long long time but just got a new set of pink foam rollers! You hair looked great at the end.
Thank you for this video! rolling my first wet set right now. I have done pin curls a few times but geez it takes forever ( the woes of having long hair). This is going much faster. You are so much fun to watch, thanks!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, so much information and explained really clearly. I've only done a wet set once before, with hilarious results, but I'm willing to give it another go having seen this. Love your channel. x
Your videos inspire me so much! Thank you for taking the time to show all these cool stuff.
such great advice on sectioning! watching you do this made me realize i may need to part my hair different when I roll. Thanks so much! ❤️
You are literally my hero! I was having a nervous breakdown today trying to foam roller my hair for the first time and I was so frustrated that they kept flopping around. Gonna buy some duckbill clips and try again!
Setting lotions I tend to use are Kenra's Firm Hold Gel, XL Gel, Proclaim, Motions. Pomades I've used are Aveda's control paste, Short Sexy Hair control maniac, and Lanza. Experiment until you find one that works well for you. I hope that helps! :D
This was great! There are a lot of tutorials on sponge sets but your was the most informative on WHY it works. Thank you!

Belinda Lee Oh I'm so glad! I worry about the long videos but there was sooo much to fit in! :D
I swear by my foam rollers {haven't used them in forever since I chopped off my locks} and love how great a curl it can give me. Can't wait to see the brush out. I have to say I learned some new techniques on how to properly do it, but I learned that I was doing a LOT of it correct. Especially the damp hair...learned that one from experience. LOL!
Yay! I'd love to hear how your next set works out for you! :D
You are my new favorite youtuber. It was definitely the "Whatevs" about your hair looking nutty in the morning.

This is great . I dont use my foam rollers as often because I never like the "Bar" denting . I never thought of doing what you showed us . AMAZING tips in this one . You are very informative about doing vintage styles , and you always explain everything so clearly . LOVE THIS CHANNEL !!!! :)
Oh man I'm so glad I found your channel recently! I have super long, slightly layered, very thick hair. I have been struggling with pin curl sets for years. Because of you I was able to do my first successful pin curl wet set last week using the t-shirt strip technique. Love your style of teaching and the way you say "bobby pin" haha. Fantastic channel! 😙

I love the pincurl clip idea! Never thought of that! You are so clever, my dear!
You are so welcome! :D I'm so happy you've found it helpful.
Thank you sooooooOoooOooo much for doing this video. My mom has been using these foam rollers on me since i was a baby. I have always loved the idea but could never do it as good as she used to. Thank you thank you so much!!!!
Aw...thanks! I'm so happy you found it helpful! :D Yes, they can often lead to some pretty crazy hairstyles! I'd love to hear how your next set works out for you!
Watching this video as I do my very first foam roller wet set. I will post before and afters to your Facebook page!
THANK YOU!! I'm so glad that I have a really good foam roller tutorial to refer to! I enjoy the curl I get from foam rollers but, I always roll all willeh nilleh and it never has any structure. Now, the next time I do it, I have some idea of a pattern to give me a more vintage style. Again, thank you!
Oooh, nice tips and tricks. Here's another one: if you want your wet set to last a little bit longer, or just get some body back into your curls, you can do dry pin curls in the same setting pattern you used the night before as a wet set. Like, if you want to have the same style two days in a row (sometimes second day sets aren't all that fun, so why not change it up, hmmm?). Excellent as always!
I absolutely love all your videos! I have learned so much and you are so charming to watch! I had a horrendous midi cut done (poor communicating with the hairdresser. it's bad. I should almost share a picture!) So I wanted to try a foam set since I struggled so so bad with the pin curls. well I am happy to report that I managed to roll too tightly, too small a roller, and probably whatever else I could do wrong!! Lol. I gave myself a poodle set- it was hilarious. I will do it again this week and follow your tips more closely ❤❤❤
I've just started to experiment with vintage style and this video was such a help! I tried a few rollers while i was sewing and I was delighted with the result! I need some bigger rollers and i can't wait to do the full head. The best thing for me was watching how you slid one finger under the wrapped hair to smooth the ends in. It works so well with the squashy foam, brilliant! Curls drop out of my hair so quickly its ridiculous I can't wait to see if this will last the full day :D Thank you!

I'm so glad you found the video helpful! :D My hair hates when I try to curl it with hot rollers which is a reason I adore wet sets! lol
Hi, Thank you so much for not just this video but all your videos, I had never found a style of dressing that I felt good in but I always loved the vintage/ rockabilly style. I started experimenting with the make up a few months ago but had no idea how to attempt the hair. A lot of tutorials are really hard to follow but you break it down so so well, I now feel confident enough to buy my first set of foam rollers and give it ago. Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow and you really inspire me to experiment and have fun with my look, I just turned 30 I finally feel I know where I want to be. Please please keep doing what your doing your very talented at it 😊

Your hair looks great, I love rollersets.
My grandma used to always roll my hair for church when I was little. I never knew how to actually use foam rollers. For prom I am planning on doing an updo that needs a basic curled base. These save a lot of time while getting ready.

10 YEARS AGO!!! Great tutorial ❣️❣️❣️
That is a awesome look! When I had foam rollers I guess I over wrapped my hair using the rollers an my hair would be super curly. So I didn't like it. Now I have short hair and I don't think this would work on a bob but on you it looks fabulous ! Can't wait till my hair grows out!
I finally ordered some of these rollers :) thought I'd come back and rewatch this vid , thanks :)
Yay...I'm so happy you liked it!
You are the cutest! Thank you so much for a very descriptive video. I tried these with dry hair the other night, but I'm thinking of trying it tonight with wet hair. I'm hoping that will give me tighter curls that'll last a little longer. ❤

Yay! :D Rollers are so much easier than pincurls especially on tired days! Yay for cake videos!
Yay! :D If you have a mousse that works well with your hair then certainly use it...plus you'll be doing a lot of brushing so any crunchiness will be brushed out!
I now see where I've been going wrong with my wet sets, thank you! :-) I guess one is never too experienced to go over the basics lol. also, I think from this video I found my wedding hair style! yay!

I use my foam rollers more than my rag and pillow rollers.Think cuz it's all I ever had growing up.lol.This definatley is a great how to for rollers.I don't think I have seen any roller videos.Keep up the great work girl.xx
I tried out the wet set on Friday evening, hoping to use it for some victory rolls on Saturday. The wet-set results were pretty good; the curls weren't insanely tight as before, smoother curls with less tangling. So the wet set itself was a success. The victory rolls... I find mine turned out very fuzzy (I have no pomade, but I used a de-frizzing product) and I guess I was too worried about brushing out all my teasing, so that may have affected it too. I ended up doing a curly faux-bob look. ;)
Such good info! My first roller set I had the bow shape and my curls were super Shirley temple. I had plans and no time to rectify either. It was so bad. Ahh memories!

thank you soooo much for doing this video! i just started working with foam rollers and have a little trouble still. i also have shorter hair and it can be a little challenge. it also helps to understand the "science" of foam rolling ;).

I loved this video, it helped me so much. My 6 year old daughter wants curly hair and I have no clue how to do it but this video helped so much.❤
They are similar though the pin curls hold up much better. Also pin curls give you more flexibility in curl size and placement. I tend to use rollers more because it's so much quicker. :D
Love the hat that you are wearing at the end.
