Thanks, Alfons, this was a great help. I had been sitting at my desk, doing my taxes, and my back was feeling very tight. 20 minutes was perfect break. I'm ready to meet with my next client!. Thanks.

Actually life changing. Thank you so much for what you do Alfons, I haven't felt comfortable in my own body my entire adult life, I've even had trouble walking the past few years, despite being able to train with fairly heavy weights at the same time, lately i haven't been able to relax, even when sitting and lying down. And now at 40 I feel like a little kid again. The constant nagging of my body feeling crooked and twisted has turned into a quite pleasant conversation, where I'm relearning how to inhabit myself. Wow, that sounded weird, hope that made sense. Thank you.

I haven't done Feldenkrais lessons in a while, and I find I only really have enough motivation right now to follow a short video like this one. It's difficult for me to just lie down on the floor and start exploring on my own without someone else to guide me. However, when it was nearly over and you were introducing the last two concepts, I knew I would need at least forty minutes to really explore everything you had shown, and my body wanted it as well. I feel like just lifting the pelvis and turning from side to side, then doing that while putting the arms in different positions, would have been enough on its own. Lifting the pelvis and doing seesaw breathing, or rocking back and forth, could have each made up their own twenty-minute video. A sort of miniseries like that, which breaks up a few different parts of a lesson, could be just as good as a full-length one, since you could then do one or more based on how you were feeling.

I would like it if you would do an hour video. I like spending time with you. You are so kind and gentle. I have MS and don't get out of the house much and can feel kind of lonely sometimes. When I spend time with you doing feldenkrais I feel like I am spending time with a friend. Can I make a request I don't know if you would be able to do this or not. I've had the book Somatics by Thomas Hanna for quite some time. I've been trying to go through his sequence but trying to follow with a written page while I'm on the floor it's awkward and I tend to get lost I or I just space out sometimes and haven't made it to the end of the sequence. I would love to follow you through this. Or if not his sequence your own that does about the same thing. I enjoy your videos especially getting better day-by-day and my happy healthy feet. Because of my MS I can't move my feet much but even after just the first Happy Feet video I could wiggle my toes better.

The channel Feldenkrais Moments with Stewart Hamblin has a few forty minute videos, and a full hour-long class to which I've linked below. They mostly deal with the neck and shoulders. kzread.info/dash/bejne/omx4ydt_htXfodo.html Another absolutely incredible resource is openatm.org/ where you can download dozens of audio recordings of various lessons, many of them forty minutes to an hour or more, from a bunch of different instructors. Being able to follow a video is really reassuring, especially when you're just starting out, however, with just audio I find I can tune in even more closely to my body's movements and experience all sorts of powerful healing sensations. Hopefully I'm not stepping on Alfons' toes by posting these links, if asked to I'll definitely remove them. I've never felt like having access to more resources changed how grateful and eager I was for new material from this channel.

Here's a great video by Alfons for the lower back: kzread.info/dash/bejne/rJOTrMqciNXHdLg.html The problem you mention is pretty much unavoidable. The higher your hips are, the less contact your lower back will have with the floor. For me, this lesson was more about getting at the parts of the mid- to upper-back that are hard to reach with my hands.

Hi dear Alfons, what i think is, my brain get´s a little in hurry, fight or flight response in know from my day to day life, when there is so much to try in such a little time, and for sure an hour long lesson would be soothing and more spacy to understand our bodies better. But great to have an impression of possibilities, we can experiment with. I ´m just thinking of another playing opportunity with life streams here on You Tube, with which i am not really familiar with. With them you could interact even better and in real time with your subscribers. Bless, Simone

I might have found a new hobby. Felden-CHRIST with Alfons. (Did you ever time travel?) Question. Can moving your abdominals be considered also a variation? Vertical and horizontal and in circles? Yeah, saw the circle stuff somewhere in a QiGong exercise but can't really do it(yet) without moving the spine aswell (maybe that was the trick? hmm) My opinion on this video. i think you could (maybe, should, could , probably need :) do 2 different videos. A long guided follow along session (1 hour) and also a condensed 20 minute one so you get 2 videos which are linked to eachother. Maybe even put them on your website for increased SEO! (Hint Hint:) Anyway, this hobby might be healthier than sitting on a chair:D. Great stuff Felden-CHRIST preacher. :)

I am 79 and have osteoporosis. Since I was diagnosed with the above disease I have practically stopped my yoga lessons. Are your lessons contraindicated with osteoporosis?

You can do my lessons, it's safe. Look at the "My healthy happy feet" workshop, it's 5 lessons, and there's movements for bone strengthening inside. The right kind of pressure and movements can increase bone density and strength, study shows. On a sidenote: it's none of my business, but since you will use google to find those studies, also google "dairy vegan osteoporosis". Wish you all the best!

I love spending time with you Alfons. If you ever question whether a practice should be short or long go with the longer version. You lift my spirits and have helped me immeasurably. I’ve been searching for Feldenkrais most of my adult life, I am 63. I’ve exhausted massage therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture to name a few. I just recently had cervical spinal fusion, the recovery went well till 10 days after the surgery I fell backwards into a tub and have had pain in that area since (September 2018). I’ve recently contacted a Feldenkrais practitioner, here in Texas, close to home. I hope she will be able to help with this injury. Thank you again. I spend every evening and sometimes during the day rolling around on the floor with you. ❤️

It was good, but make it longer please. It was too short to really explore what it can do.
