Hello, i recently participated in a translation competition and didn't even get top 3, so I'm determined to improve myself significantly but i dont know how. I thought of reading about different topics but this will only improve my vocabulary in one language and not my translation skill. Do you have any suggestions on how to improve my terminology in both languages (source and target) and improve my translation skills overall? And thanks.

You can read both in the source and target languages. Enhancing your vocabulary is a must for a translator. And to improve your translation skills, it's only by practising.
