How to Make Yuzu Marmalade ☆ 柚子ジャムの作り方

Here's a simple way to make Yuzu jam that anyone can follow!
I have a Yuzu tree in my garden, and every year around this time, it produces a lot (and I mean a lot, haha) of Yuzu. So, this year, I decided to make Yuzu Marmalade! I hope you find this helpful☺︎
だしこし袋:amzn.to/3OkUneX
My Chef’s Knife : amzn.to/37pidmS
My Petty Knife : amzn.to/3Jmdqjs
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients:
500g Yuzu
235g Sweetener (50-80% of the combined weight of the yuzu juice, thin peel, and outer skin, excluding seeds and stem end)
100g Water
Instructions:
1. Squeeze the yuzu and separate the seeds, placing them in a straining bag or similar.
2. Remove the membrane(thin peel) and stem end from the yuzu skin and cut it into thin strips.
3. Boil the yuzu skin and discard the cooking liquid three times to remove bitterness.
4. In a pot, combine the yuzu juice, membrane, yuzu skin, sweetener, yuzu seeds (in the straining bag), and water. Heat over low flame.
5. After about 10 minutes, remove the yuzu seeds. Continue heating until the mixture thickens slightly, then remove from heat.
6. Enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
「材料」
柚子 500g
甘味料 235g(種とヘタを除いた、柚子の搾り汁、薄皮、皮の合計の重さの50~80%が目安)

Is this the same recipe as the kind you mix into hot water to make tea? I think it is a more typically Korean drink? I have to travel several hours to find it at an Asian grocery and have been wanting to make it homemade. It’s usually called yuzu honey tea I believe but it’s not actually honey 😊

    Is this lemon?

  • @peacefulcuisine

    @peacefulcuisine

    6 ай бұрын

Yuzu is a citrus fruit that originates from East Asia, commonly found in Japan, Korea, and China. It's about the size of a small grapefruit and has a distinctive, uneven skin that ranges in color from yellow to green depending on its ripeness. Yuzu is known for its unique fragrance, which is more aromatic and less sharp than that of a lemon or lime. Its flavor is complex, often described as a blend of grapefruit, lemon, and mandarin with floral undertones. While the fruit's juice and zest are widely used in cooking and baking for their flavor, the fruit itself contains very little juice compared to other citrus fruits. Yuzu is a popular ingredient in Japanese cuisine, used in dressings, marinades, and sauces, as well as in beverages and desserts. It's also a key ingredient in ponzu sauce, a classic Japanese condiment.
