Love your video. Very useful info. The basket is so cute and so are the doggies! I made lemon tart with yuzu & it was heavenly fragrant & tasty. I also researched citrus salt & limoncello for when I have enough fruit from 2 trees. For now I'm only getting 1-2 per tree.

Very informative video. Yuzu-care can apply to many other citrus varieties so this video was helpful. I have scions being delivered in the next few weeks from the Citrus Clonal Protection Program at UC Riverside (YUZU ICHANDRIN, AUSTRALIAN RED FINGER LIME & EXCALIBUR RED LIME). Great place to order many varieties of different citrus for grafting.

Thank you for the great video and information. I have 8years old lemon trees in my garden. They are not in the pot. They are on the ground. I will graft them this spring to Yuzu. I wonder that how long does it take to get first Yuzu fruits? How long does it took you get that much fruit after grafting. Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much! I am in the Chicago area and have two trees in containers. I ordered them in 2022, and we got fruit last year (only two). Unfortunately, this winter isnt going well. I have the trees inside but about 85% of the leaves are dry and withered. Not sure if this is a sign the trees are dying and if there is anything I can do ti save them

Hi @hdiuae ! Very happy to see you've returned! I have seeds available in a 1-2 weeks once the remaining fruits on the tree mature. What I do is wait for the fruits to ripen on the tree until it drops, sometimes the seeds germinate inside the fruit. They'll be extremely viable at that stage and should be planted indoors if you're expecting a winter. You can expect to see them germinate in a matter of days. Are you located in the US or international? Thank you so much for your continued support!

@UmamiGarden am based in UAE middle east. What are the chances of true to type plants from seeds.. what would advise on that better to buy seeds or green cutting of plant.

@hdiuae either scion for 100% exact clone of the parent plant or seeds will suffice. Seeds are a 90% chance of getting the offspring of the mother plant in regards to citrus. Given the circumstances of citrus diseases being spread, seeds woudln't be difficult to acquire, the scions would be a struggle, especially keeping them viable.I recommend seeds, from seed to fruit it'll take around 3 years to see it flower - It's also very rewarding and tends to grow much quicker than a grafted tree. If you're familiar with heirloom seeds and vegetables, fruit tree seeds grow the same way. I grew several Yuzu trees from seed, the seedlings grew much more vigorously and healthy than the ones I've grafted on domestic trifolate rootstock. In regards to rootstock grafting, select the cultivar that is adapted to your climate as each region has its own hardy citrus. I'll be releasing a video about grafting soon, possibly germination as well - Perhaps it'll enlighten you and expand your knowledge to help you decide which route to go with. I'll do my best to explain basic fundamentals of grafting and how to be successful. I hope this wasn't too much information! Thank you again for supporting my channel!
