Perfect again Michael! I literally was setting this up yesterday in OBS and now I can go check to see if I have it right. I did have an issue with audio once so I'll do this next time I'm able. I really appreciate your content.

I really appreciate your videos on OBS, they have helped me a lot, i have one issue: i make podcasts using one guest with (NDI) SKYPE and everything great but when switching to another scene that i have created while were talking (a scene where we could watch a video together) for some reason the guest audio gets out of sync it actually repeats the last 4 sec of what they were saying right before the switch but their lips are saying what they were actually saying now. does it make sense what I'm saying???? trying to figure it out but cant!

At the moment I'm the latter, yes a laptop, so only one monitor at the moment I'm afraid. Then there's the issue that if i want to journal my bike tours as I go along with live's I would be using a laptop not a full media suite. ( let's face it when you start out who has one of those?) So can you do a OBS from the Laptop video please.

In that sort of situation I would probably start by streaming on the phone.

Question is the copyright issue, when using other people videos, the news is one thing it's in the public anyway.

Is there a way to have a stream start automatically on obs

​@MichaelFeyrerJr Please help. I am using OBS to live stream. At the end, I have a short (about 1 minute) video that plays to close out the stream. No matter what I do, it always plays fine, freezes, then starts back up and plays in fastforward until it catches up and finishes playing. I've tried making the video webm and other formats, same problem always present. Thought it was CPU lagging, but just got a brand new computer and this one doesn't go above 2% CPU usage. Really need to get this figured out. Please HELP!!! Anyone else with a solution is free to reply also.

Interesting. I would probably load the video into an editor and encode it again and see if that fixes it.

@MichaelFeyrerJr I've definitely already tried that... multiple times. Before the new pc, I was getting some kind of an encoding error, but I couldn't really read it as it meant I had to quickly end the stream manually. Could this have something to do with the fact that I stream for 2 hours and then use that one clip? I did a test stream with the new pc that was only 5 minutes or so and it worked fine. Is there a way to pre-roll a video before I actually switch to the video, maybe that could help? I'm also using Touch Portal to switch the scene. Touch Portal is set to play the video, wait for 115 seconds (length of clip) and then end the stream. This is where it generally goes all wonky.

Can you still do this setup if you have 2 laptops?

Kind of, there is an OBS PLUGIN that allows you to use obs on one computer, but let the other computer do the actual streaming. It would take some tweeking but it could be made to work... sort of.

There is always a way

Just a reinforcement of something important if you plan to react to videos, especially music videos: if you haven't done it before, be aware that not only is there a risk of a copyright strike from the original uploader, but there are sneaky unethical clearing houses that go around trying to demonetize and strike channels using content even though they are not the IP owner. It's a sticky situation, so tread lightly.
