i remember agesss ago i found these canvas’ that had a realistic texture on them for my art software so i didn’t have to play around with layers (mainly bc i was new to it and i didn’t know how to back then) but i feel like it gave me a whole new way to paint and i enjoy it so much more now compared to a blank canvas.

What I do to get this texture is actually draw it on paper FIRST, drawing and trace on digital after, then drag the traditional to the top! It works perfectly!

@@LucasPeinador it's these silly overlay screen pieces that feel like writing on paper. It adds that tension in your sketching that helps you have precision and not feel like you are writing on a wet marble. I'm very much an unmodern person but I've heard about these screens.

I like how we went from stonewall painting to paper to digital and now its going backwards in digital. Can't wait for the stone time brush for the extra feature is shuts down the whole system every 30mins 😂 but seriously that's neat

We could! But this isn’t trying to be a replacement for traditional painting - just another technique in the digital art toolbox. Most digital art (especially highly detailed or painterly art) has some texture applied to it either in overlays or the brushes used, even if it’s not always as extreme as this example. It can really elevate a piece.
