there is literally no one that can wheel 130hp better than drifts and lifts. the absolute best.
Never seen more then 2-2.5 degrees cut head haha but one thing you should do is porting, flow porting the valve canals and match porting the exhaust to the head and head to intake. Love to se it from a fellow Swedish
I wonder how 3mm shaved off the heads and some bike carbs would work, really cool to see tho

200hp is no problem with ported and shaved head and an full exhaust

Right now my daily is a 740 n/a that i got for $740 it was sitting since 2009 (the wheels and last inspection were from 09) started up and ran fine had to jump it. All I've done is homemade cold air intake and home made cat back exhaust, trans is an aw70 but i did the accumulator mod and shifter mod (shifts faster and harder you stick rods in the actuator pistons) def want a manual hard to fine them here. have an M cam atm but i'm looking for a k cam but might have to settle for a B or Ipd. def want ethanol for my V70 but idk about the 740 kinda hard to find it around me. There is a shell that sells it but its like a hour away. Most of my time and money goes into fixing the 740 needed a starter, water pump, belts, 70% of the vaccum hoses got 25 ft of orange hose, trans, exhaust was leaking and was missing a muffler, oil was like pitch black couldnt see through it when i changed it like the day after i got it.
this is so so so sick, so stoked for this

Its basically the same, the 240 is just a tad lighter
Quality content I’ve got an NA 04 s60 2.4L and been curious about what kind of shenanigans you can get into with Volvos and it makes me hyphy to see some shit I would do to my Hondas done to a Volvo. Only thing I’m missing atm is the rwd 😂

if it is a LH2.2 retarding the camgear will advance the rotor slightly and ad slighltly more ignition timing, doing the reverse will get the opposite result on both sides.

Get the 531 head and vx3 cam and you’ll probably make somewhere between 120-130 hp. 😊

doing 3mm? i did 2.7 on the old B20's. it was knocking on 98MOM due to the fact that the engine also was 2.2L and not 2.0L as stock. i had ro run with a rely low timing. stil with that low timing the car did run good.. i had about 150/160+hp.
its so angry now lmao, that cam is as lumpy as 50-cent, what a treat !
Not sure. But i quess that b2**et has 2,5bar regulators only? Correct if im wrong... Other f motors have 3bar regulators. I runned e85 fuel in my b200f and b230f with volvo t5 motor white injectors, 2mm shaved head and A cam+ported combustion shamber and intake and exhaust channels. Comparing to stock b230f, it taked quarter mile end speed 10km/h better than stock
Apparently aswell, you can gain like 4hp more in your non turbo Volvo if you just go from your crappy old thermostat to one that came on a turbo model, you gain around 4hp for 10 bucks xD, and when you kinda consider how much more money you have to throw out for a decent camshaft that only gives you like 5hp xD yeah I'd do cheap mods all day to make my car have more power the cheap way

Judging by the way it powers through second it must have at least a bit of curry! This was an interesting video for me because I've had my own plans brewing (non volvo related) to swap out my dished pistons with some flat tops and run high octane fuel for a bit of extra power on an otherwise stock motor, watching this gives me confidence it would be worthwhile.

740's share the same engine with 240's right? Is there certainty of doing something similar or very much the same? Being that the b230f in my 240 is quite old, I'd be very cautious of what's going to be done to it.

You’re correct they do share an engine. This motor has 330,000km on it and is the original head milled down. It’s proven to be very reliable so far

A 2,5bar regulador have a range around 1,5bar att full vacum and 2,5bar at full throttle A 4bar regulator work around 3bar and 4bar wich means it will have around 2 times more fuel at low loads and low throttle and 60% more at full throttle 😅 Kinda too much

as long as the lamda is within what the ecu can read itwill compensate by less injector time

Why dont you just fk swap it? Engine, ecu and chips, that'll give you 300hp and alot more fun
