Because youve used it non stop so much that it doesnt last anymore...and changing it might not solve your issue, you probably already fried your motherboard as well if your battery lasts that little, your new battery will be drained by the bad motherboard, so either buy another iphone for parts or upgrade to a new one and quit using it all damn day, my 6 year old iphone 8 plus was still holding battery long enough and running well to actually keep it for another year or so since i was not on it all day long, but i bought a new 14 plus a year ago cause i had been wanting to upgrade for a while already, and the battery life is sooo good, i sometimes charge it every other day when im not on it too much.
