How to Make Your Garage Brighter - LED Lighting Comparison and Review | Best Lights Under $70

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I tested four LED lighting systems for my garage to see which would provide the brightest lighting. This is an informal test, and partially done just as a comparison to see what garage lighting options are available. Some of these options are more budget friendly than others, but overall, they all do a great job.
The four lights mentioned are listed below, right after their type/category.

I started off with 3-panel lights over a year ago and they were great for my two-car garage. But recently moved and bought a home with a 3-car garage and different ceiling heights between two of the bays. I went to buy another (Amazon) but came across a 5-panel light that was a 2-pack for less money than the 3-panel! Jumped on that and it makes a difference. Less shadowed areas than the 3-panel so better coverage and helped since the ceiling was higher. Makes a world of a difference in seeing in the garage.

A five-panel light! Oh man, that must be very bright! That's pretty awesome! I didn't see those, but I definitely would have tried them! I'll definitely consider them for the next time it's time to upgrade!

@@ReviewsMadeSimple yes sir! Amazon has a wide variety, and I see them more and more at Home Depot (I'm there almost as much as home - what happens when you buy a new home, lol). Thanks for your video, I think more people are starting to experiment with these LED options and I love mine!

Very nice video. I have all of those lights as well, ive been trying to get good lighting in my glass blowing studio, I have to wear shade 5 dark lens when working so having extreme brightness is required. I have 2 shop lights above my work bench instead of 1 as well as a 4 panel light.

The more lights, the merrier! haha. Especially in your case, I can't even imagine starting 5 shades darker! I appreciate you taking the time to watch! :D

Good comparison of the lights. I am geting ready to update my garage and the tree panal light has been on the radar as well as the regular shop style light. I did like the warmer tones you mentioned with the shp light. Things to think about.... Thanks for the video!

That three panel light is incredible! Still running strong, so I'd definitely recommend it. I debated getting a better camera for the videos, but what I really needed was better lighting. And once I had that, everything looked much better on camera!

@@ReviewsMadeSimple hahah, I’ve wanted a new camera for a while too. But I also keep running back to basics and lighting is the top one.

The 3 panel isn't terribly expensive! Definitely going to try it out in my garage too!!

Considering the cost of the other lighting systems, that's definitely a steal! I still use that in my garage, and it's still running strong. Thanks for watching, Ian!

I know this is an older video but if you see this would the panel lights fit into a recessed light fixtures? Our garage has recessed lighting and it sucks. Can't modify it since it's a rental

That is a great question' and I wish I could be more helpful, but I can't confirm it with 100% certainty 😢. Home Depot is pretty good about returning most items, even if you've tried them out. I'd give that a shot. Good luck!

The 3 panel and 4 panel light output for the wattage it consumes seems a bit off. Those same ones in 80 watts are 8000 lumens on Amazon. I’m sure you read it it. But some of them are dimmable and can be controlled by turning the switch quickly on and off.

It is a little tricky for sure! I was just going based on the specs they gave me though, since I don't have the equipment to scientifically test them. More of a user-experience type of review, haha.

Honestly, that 3 panel one has been great to me! I love the way it lights up the garage, can't complain about the simple installation, and it's still working perfectly!
